The key lime pie was the best I had ever had. The old school diner charm is spot on! One of my favorite spots in L.A. I highly recommend it for a great breakfast experience.

Visited June 2025 on Saturday night. The coffee was really good, but the server was controlled rude and zero warmth.
Food was average, the omelette was delivered in the form of scrambled eggs.
Average food, rude service, but I see the potential for doing better.

Okay food! This place needs a deep cleaning though. Filthy walls with dead flies and gnats in the windows.

Great place for a late night meal. Love the pie crust and dessert offerings.

This place has some of the best salads, cobb salad here is top notch! My personal favorite. But pretty much every plate I've ever eaten here and burgers sandwiches salads onion rings are great here just really well-made higher quality than most restaurants you know of this level plus you got the indoor tables and outdoor patio. And of course number one their pies! When they have the strawberry shortcake in the summer that's when you want to go for sure. From here you can go to dozens of Hollywood attractions and have a blast or the beach. Definitely one of my top 10 restaurants in Los Angeles, especially for the price of the food.

So it's a tradition of mine to go to a show here in L.A. and then head over to House of Pies afterward for their delicious Banana Cream Pie or their Cheesecakes. Life is good!!

They up the tip amount themselves!!! check your transactions with your bank.

I came with my friend to just eat pie. Service was slow, average friendliness. Place was getting busy so we were asked to leave since we were just getting pie and nothing else, sure. We each got our bill, wrote our tip and left. I always take a copy of the customer receipt and write the tip and total for me to remember my purchases later. A few days later when I was checking my transactions while working on my finances, I noticed that they charged me more than what I actually wrote on the receipt. The server added more tip to the bill.

Pie was good but not the best I’ve had. Strawberry cream pie was good but the banana cream pie had a weird taste to it.

I would not return due to robbing people and changing the tip amount after.

Free but small parking lot.

I bought a coconut creme pie today and I was very disappointed.. no flavor at all... It taste like a plain creme pie with a few lil sprinkles of coconut on top no coconut flavor at all.. and it wasn't even sweet.. what a waste of money cuz it's definitely going to be trashed...

Had the BEST breakfast here! Awesome selection of traditional diner favorites. The pancakes with mixed berries, bananas, and pecan whipped butter were delicious. The pancakes were perfect. Had a side of crispy bacon which was good. I sampled the cinnamon roll and the calm chowder. Both delicious.
It's about a 40min walk to the Griffith Observatory. Perfect hike to work off some of the pancakes.
