Howlin' Ray's Hot Chicken - Chinatown

From "not spicy" to "hell spicy", I recommend medium spicy to balance the spiciness and flavor. Lol. I can't accept hell spicy yet. The skin is so crispy that it falls apart, the secret chili oil permeates the chicken, the gravy is full when you bite it, and the spicy taste is very strong. It is a very good experience.

Finally made it here after years of wanting it. Totally worth the drive and wait. Almost got a second serving.

This place is awesome! The food is great, the workers are even better! Mario and Brian were so kind with us. The heat level is kinda off, you need to order one level less than you would. Chicken perfectly seasoned and sauces are on point. Definetly worth the ride.

The best chicken, the best customer service, the best spice, I don't know how they do it, I went here 8 years ago and waited 2 hours in line to get it. It was worth it then and today I waited 15 minutes and it was worth it today, it is the best chicken tender/sandwich/wings available, I wish I could remember the cashier's name , he was fantastic all I remember was the he had cats was cool as hell ... One of the best restaurants of all time.

Best Hot chicken place in LA!

The food was good, but the wait was very disappointing. We ordered a big order and understood that there would be a wait, but after the ready time, it still wasn't ready. While other orders after us were fulfilled 1 by 1. Keeping the line moving is important, but how big orders are handled was not right.

First time here coming from all the way from Chicago, the food was amazing, and service was amazing, the workers love their job and are so kind. 10/10

Excellent chicken!! Absolutely delicious. Crunchy, crispy, great flavor on the crust and the chicken is juicy and tender. You can choose spice level. Just fantastic!

Be warned the Hot is HOT i loved it but it was a bit much for my husband so I highly recommend the medium plus it's not on the menu but the cashier told us to order it like that for next time it's a really nice heat. The drop from hot to medium is drastic so the plus is a nice middle ground. The potato salad was mid but the comeback sauce is ? we got there 20 minutes after they opened and had a slight wait but by the time we left there was a long line forming so get there early. It is take out but they have two long tables right outside you can eat on.

The whole staff was super welcoming!! The atmosphere was lively and although there was a line that whole team was crushin it so it didnt even feel like a wait. Food was definitely on point. Location is perfect, there's alot of places to stroll to after. I would and have recommended this place to alot of people and am excited to return. Keep killin it guys!!

The best Nashville hot chicken in LA period. the quality is top notch, and the seasoning is just perfect. moreover, I love their packaging its sturdy and not cheap. the staff is super kind and cool.
