Hidden away, if you didn't know you'd never find it, super friendly staff, fresh seafood, and good atmosphere. Was a pleasure to dine and talk to the staff.

In a Korean style restaurant like this, you just need to know 3 things. How fresh is the sashimi (how they slice/texture), quality of the extra side menu, and how delicious is the maeun-tang soup.Instead of multiple cheap fried side dishes, we were given abalone porridge, clam soup, salmon head, and a whole platter of fresh seafood. This restaurant checked off all 3 boxes and I recommend it if you want authentic Korean style seafood/sashimi.
Best hwe dup bap (회덮밥) I've had in a while. Almost as good as mama makes. Not many places even have this dish anymore, but it's quite a specialty here. You see the older OG Koreans in the restaurant so you know it's good. And I didn't get sick afterwards!

Our family has been coming here for 10+ years so I will remain a faithful follower. Only recently have I brought a few friends here. It's been a tradition within family to come here for celebrations and then over the years several times a year.Without fail, we always do the sashimi course menu with the lobster and although it's been the four of us forever with now an addition to the family, it's enough food for 4 if you order for 3. I think compared to other places, it's a bit pricier, but for the quality, freshness, and quantity, you get more bang for your buck along with tons of quality side dishes.I've also had the mul-hwe (translates directly to water squid) which was pretty good and the live octopus! Love me some good live octopus with some sesame oil and cho-gochujang! Just a heads up parking is pretty tight during peak hours and they don't take reservations during the weekends. My friends and I waited over an hour place and ended up going to a Kim's run nearby in the meantime! Hehe.

Korean sushi is quite a different experience from the typical Japanese/American establishments. The Uni was the best I've ever had - literally scooped fresh out of the urchin.A few odd dishes - a la monk fish liver and live octopus.Overall, fun and interesting experience.
I love the sushi here so much!
