I thought this was really Korea. The price is reasonable and the taste is very good. I also recommend going when you feel like having a glass of soju. The Wechures sisters are also very friendly. There used to be a very unfriendly Wechure lady, but I went there a few days ago and I don't know if she stopped, but she wasn't there in the afternoon, so I had a good meal.Be sure to go there. Parking is also free. There is always space.

The place is a little bit intimidating because it is wall-to-wall Korean. I installed Google Lens just to read the menu. Fortunately we found the English menu and ordered the short rib stew. It is delicious and the portion is large for two person. As some other review mentioned the side dishes are not quite as good as other Korean places in k-town but that's very forgivable, and the service is quite good so you can just eat what you like and they will bring out more. :)

Shitty place, waitress has a huge attitude whenever I go without Korean friends. With Korean friends she is different much serving and pleasant. Discriminate non Korean people and gives huge attitude, very low life behavior, feel sorry for her !

The side dishes were bad. Like the kimchi was like a little too old to eat straight up. It should have been mixed in w the soup and not served as a side dish. The radish was like stale popcorn. Jjapchae was legit just carrots, onion, sesame oil and noodle. So my fam and I were a little nervous about the actual food bc the side dishes really signal the quality of the food. But the restaurant had a redemption arc and pull up w the actual food. We got the signature gomtang beef broth and dumpling gopchang (intestine) mixed soup. The gomtang was subtle but flavorful and have a lot of meat. But the dumpling gopchang soup was where it was at. Loved the intestines and it was flavorful. It was a little spicy but nothing too spicy. It also was a lot of food. Service was just like any other Korean restaurant in Koreatown and the restaurant is also a pretty traditional looking Korean restaurant. They have a lot of people drinking and if you have been to a couple korran restaurants the ambiance is pretty standard too.

So ridiculously underrated it hurts. Service was kind and sweet to everyone regardless of whether you speak Korean. The nokdu pancakes are crispy and healthy while the kimchi dumplings taste like home. The ggori gomtangs broth is by far one of my favorites but the spicy gamjatang had a little too much going on flavor wise for my taste. Regardless highly recommend.

This place has horrible service. My friends and I had our cars towed because the Oxford Plaza is a whole scam and you will not be able to see the hidden security guard lurking just to fill a quota of the day. When we entered the plaza there was a tiny sign on a pole that had details about what to do when uoir car gets towed. Nowhere did it say that only customers of the plaza were able to park there. My friends and I got out and in the corner of my eye, a security guard was in the corner giving us the most smug smirk while we left to eat right next door at Anju House. Our cars were immediately towed after we step foot out of the plaza. After finishing dinner, we came back to our empty parking spaces. My friends and I scrambled everywhere asking for help. The security guard was just watching us and he pointed to the sign at the entrance. He really said good luck but I won. Two of my friends ran to the towing company while two of us wanted to get some drinks to cool down. We went into the restaurant thirsty after dealing with the towing company situation. Along with buying to sodas for take out, we decided to simply ask them for a bit of advice, assuming that many people might have gone in to ask for help. They automatically gave us judgemental looks saying that it was our own problem and that buying something from their restaurant just to get a receipt would not work. Every customer in the restaurant was Korean. My friend and I are not, but we could tell that they were talking about us, not only between thenselves but also with the customers near the counter. At that point almost everyone in the restaurant were giving us looks. They refused to help two young adults who simply wanted something to drink. After a few more minutes, my friend was to order a take out dish to take home. They had the same response. "Go wait outside. It won't work. This sounds like a you problem." We simply just wanted to order TAKE OUT with UNHARMING intentions. My friend said, "I just wanted to order this dish for my family. What's wrong with that." They were very reluctant but they gave in. We paid and they shooed us outside to wait. However, in the amount of time we waited, we could have gotten both cars back from the towing company. Anyways, service is already detailed enough for everyone to see. My friend and I sprinted to meet up with our other two friends. Got one car and came back to the plaza to take pictures of our parking space and signs around the lot. Guess what??? The security guard was NOWHERE to be found. He decided that he filled his quota of God knows how many cars for the day and dipped. We saw multiple customers coming from Anju House getting in their cars in the Oxford Plaza and driving away. How is that fair??? So if you don't care about your car, make sure to park at Oxford Plaza in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Go eat right next door at Anju House who does not even have a parking lot. For your information, each car was $260. What great security at the Oxford Plaza! The security guards there don't warn you and they disappear after scamming hundreds of unknowing customers. They do their jobs up until their "tired". Don't bother going into Hyun Poong Gom Tang either. They won't help if you don't speak Korean. Have a great day!!

Definitely a must-go if you even remotely like Korean food. the ambience is real, authentic and the food, omg, amazing. The servers were so kind and approachable. We had the honor of meeting Misook, Kyungae and Jiwon as our servers. They had something called "정 (hard to translate but basically likeness towards each other)" to share with us. definitely a must go if you're in ktown.

The customer service was on point. Seriously. The servers (Jiwon and Misook unnies) were so kind-hearted. The food here is amazing. And in a traditional way which is unimaginable especially in ktown nowadays. 10/10 Would recommend.
