Wifey and I had a wonderful experience tonight at Ile is home. We were visiting LA and wanted to find some good African food. We were familiar with the concept of Ile is home and always wanted to try it. I am so glad we did. It felt like we were at home with my cousins eating amazing food and having a great concept. It was def something new for us and but I am so glad we did it bc it was and experience we will never forget. The price is worth it bc you get even more than what you pay for. It’s like the best of Africa right in LA. Can’t wait to come back and bring more family and friends so they can experience our new favorite place in LA

Ile is home was an amazing experience. My husband took me there for date night during our trip to LA and it was everything and more. As a Nigerian, I was a little skeptical initially but I love to find African food and support whenever I can. And I’m so glad we did. First of all, Chef David was really cool. He curated an amazing vibe that felt very homie and exclusive at the same time. All the food was excellent. Their twist on Nigerian food was something I didn’t know I needed in my life. Now I have to have it again. The Ewa salad was everything, and so was the Unity jollof. Like I’m coming back for more. And dessert was just the icing on top. We also learned alot about West African culture and they told amazing stories. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Probably the best experiential date night we’ve gone on. If you’re in LA you must do this 10/10 would recommend.

This was a one of a kind experience that I will never forget. The food was outrageously good, unique and beautifully presented. The ambience for the private dining experience was perfect and our hosts were charming, charismatic and deeply knowledgeable about West African food and culture. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it and I can’t wait to go back!

One of the best meals I've ever had. Exciting and special like a Michelin-starred restaurant, but with craveable and satisfying food -- Ile is like when the Oscar winning art film is also a box office smash-hit. The flavors are new and delicious, the chefs are 8 ft away, talking with you and answering questions. Go. Just go.

Incredibly spiritual and astounding experience. The food and decorum is unmatched. The jollof rice is flavorful and comforting in addition with the colorful story to accompany makes the meal and the dinner truly memorable. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Nigerian experience.

12/10 experience, without a doubt. Every component of the evening was so well thought out and highly detailed: from the curation of the menu, to the compelling performance given by Chef Eros- everything. Not only was Chef Eros and the food incredible (which again, was beyond luscious), but his team of three were diligent and David's attentiveness was highly noticed too. For me, it was a warm evening that was filled with nostalgia and love for West African heritage.

Let me start off by saying the food was delicious. However, for the price you can get just as superb food with much better atmosphere and service. I would not recommend this place.

They only provided water even though they promised a nonalcoholic cocktail that we were told we could bring spirits to mix into. Upon asking at the end of the meal, their excuse was that the head chef was out. So they could make an entire meal without the head chef but not a premixed cocktail? We ended up taking shots of our tequila instead of having a cocktail to mix it into. They could’ve even just offered some juice concoction instead of literally nothing.

The food was good but does not look like the pictures shown. It is family style so piles of food are served on platters. That’s fine, but the photos here are extremely misleading.

The experience was a bit unorganized and not optimized. There was a host fiddling trying to play videos on an iPad before the course was served but the audio was poor (in an echoey concrete loft) and the screen was tiny. Would’ve just preferred an intimate setting where they explained the food instead of trying to achieve (and missing the mark on) theater. Then the chefs were late serving food so on the last course the host basically rushed us out so their next seating could come in, so we scarfed down our dessert then had to catch up with friends outside in the cold instead of over the promised cocktail.

The space was small but I expected a smaller table for an intimate setting instead of two huge tables squeezed into as much space as possible, maximizing profits but leaving no logistical room to get to the bathroom or for the servers to remove plates except reaching through other seated patrons.

Ultimately I’m giving 2 stars for the taste of the food but for the price I paid, I left feeling let down and would not recommend. Better to spend your money at a fine dining establishment for better marks on everything all around.

This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Never been to anything like it. The food was delicious and was paired with stories that gave insight into what we were eating and what region it came from in West Africa. Highly recommend it if you are looking for great food and entertainment.

This was somewhat of the best dinning experience I’ve ever had. The food was amazing and the experience was just right. Learning about the rich culture of the west africa region from Chef Eros himself was really very inspiring. Pro tip, go with friends.
