Sham India’s Oven is one of those hidden gems that survives because the food is genuinely good. It’s tucked away inside an office building, so if a restaurant can stay in business for years in a location like this, it’s doing something right.
The second-floor dining room has a surprisingly nice view overlooking Wilshire Boulevard. There’s something relaxing about enjoying a meal while watching the endless stream of cars crawling through traffic below.
The restaurant is clean, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. I especially enjoyed the Mulligatawny soup. If you’re looking for authentic Indian food in the area, this place is definitely worth seeking out—even if it’s a little hidden.

My wife and I are grateful to have this authentic gem of a restaurant in our neighborhood. Sham, the owner is such a kind man and as soon as we walk in the door, his staff makes us feel incredibly welcome. Every time we dine here, the service is attentive, the food is consistently delicious, the prices are more than fair. We always end our meal with the same reaction of “I’m glad we came here, that was delicious!”
The space is tastefully perched on the 2nd floor providing an escape from the busyness of Wilshire Blvd below and a sense of calm during our meal. We are fans of the booth seating next to the large windows which offer an elevated change of scenery.
We look forward to joining them for the $14.99 AYCE lunch buffet, which at that price point seems like a steal given the authenticity and high quality of food they are offering.
Thank you again for being what I consider a staple in the Brentwood dining community!

Very humble and welcoming staff
Sham India Oven is a wonderful place to enjoy authentic Indian food with family and friends. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere, clean interiors, and very polite staff. The flavors feel rich and traditional, with perfectly balanced spices and fresh ingredients. The naan was soft and fresh from the oven, and the curries were full of taste.
A great place for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food lovers. Service was quick, portions were good, and the overall dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended if you want delicious Indian food with a relaxing ambience in Los Angeles, USA

The food is sooo sooo good and gave really good portions! Iโm stuffed! We got the garlic naan, lamb biriyani, chicken tikka masala, and coconut fish curry! Every dish was so incredibly good and we had a lot of leftovers!! The restaurant is beautiful, you can tell they pay close attention to detail and the staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, big shoutout to Rafiq, heโs awesome and so kind.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! I ordered the meat thali plate with butter chicken and chicken tikka, and my husband ordered the vegetarian thali. Everything was soooo good! Warm and yummy Nana and flavorful mango lassis too. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The lamb chops are burnt and over priced if you it doesn't come as a meal. Please don't waste your time!
One of the best Indian restaurants in LA! They serve some of the elite events in LA, like the Grammys. If you're lucky, you might spot not only Hollywood actors but movie industry executives and stars from Bollywood, Tollywood, and Kollywood!
