I took my father here because he was craving Japanese food and this was a quality spot.

Started with green tea and edemame which were great. The pork sausage was delicious but a lot of pieces. I had their miso cod which was excellent along with their tempura. I ordered one of their sashimi plates and it was delicious with phenomenal fish quality.

Went to lunch with two friends on Sunday (6/29/2025) and it was warm and sunny in dtla (80F). The inside of the restaurant was nice and cool, and we had a reservation for 11:30am so got seated right away. We parked in the village parking structure and the restaurant validated the ticket for free two hours! Their tonkatsu, premium sashimi set and tofu sampler were a delight.

Tofu sampler had creamy tofu which was everyone's favorite, classic tofu and sesame tofu. All are homemade and just like Meiji tofu.

The sashimi was fresh and a generous amount.
Our friends enjoyed their black cod as well but preferred the tonkatsu.

Would like to return to get dinner items and more tofu!!
