Not a good start to my night, it was my birthday & I had a reservation at 8:00pm & did not get seated until 8:50. We were told to stand out by the entrance & they were “clearing up a table” & 20 min goes by we ask again they said it's almost ready. It wasn't. I had to say something now with attitude because come on we showed up on time, it's my birthday I had a group of 6 we had somewhere to be after the dinner so this set our whole night back. Mind you they seated several large parties that just arrived & no wait time. We were forgotten about & no apology was made, it was a distasteful night & regretful at that. Never coming back here again.
Good ambiance and good. The restaurant wasn't really busy and it took an inordinately long time to get our good.
Server wasn't attentive. Our drinks were empty for a good 15-20 min before she would come by and ask if we needed anything. Not sure if they are lacking in staff but we had to stop multiple people to help our table that weren't our actual server. Food was good, prices are too high for what it is
Great food and service! All of our dishes were exceptional and the service by several people was appreciated. Love Javier's!
Always a great meal and wonderful ambiance! Our server was fabulous! We had a family member with Celiac and she was very knowledgeable and helpful!
We enjoy the excellent service at Javier's. We had Luis but it also starts at the front. It is noisy and hard to canebrake but that energy is electric so we enjoyed it. Great fresh flavorful food choices.
Every time I go in, it's always a great experience. Food is delicious. Service is amazing.
The green ceviche here is immaculate. If you want an elevated Mexican cuisine experience, this is the place to go!

It was my first time at this one, I understand they have a few more and I would love to visit them all. This one was nice with a romantic atmosphere. The service was fantastic. The food was great, I had their Halibut which I expected to pay a bit more for. It was nicely cooked and came with potatoes and baby vegetables. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The margarita I had so good and served with fresh pineapple. I loved everything about this place.

Food was average but the service was excellent along with the ambience. Love the location and the feel. Wish the food was better for the money. Pancho Villa has better quality food for much less money but who's comparing when in Century City.
Ambiance was attractive, nothing special! Love Javier's on PCH in Newport. Worth a trip. My young friend and I both ordered the Cabo Azul—my favorite. Disappointed that server did not honor her40th birthday when there was a balloon and gift on the table and with the reservation.
I booked my reservation with Open table and noted that my wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we would like a booth. We arrived and waited about 10 minutes before seated and we got a booth in a nice area of the restaurant. We've been to the other Javier's in New Port beach and enjoyed the food more at that location and the attention to the details. We didn't receive any special attention or even an anniversary dessert. You would think they would have been able to afford us a little better experience but I guess you only get that at the steakhouses.
very nice place good drink menu and the food is excellent as the service. deffentatley a place to visit.
I didn't have a good experience, the server was more attentive to a party of 16-18 people that sat directly in front of us. They received drinks before I received my drink, my meal was incorrect and not hot! Very disappointed in my overall experience.
