Grabbed a res day of to stop here before a show at the Wiltern and what a perfect little plan that was! I told them we were tight on time because of a show and they went out of their way to accommodate, making sure we got our table as soon as possible and fired all our food QUICKLY! We had some great recommended soju and 5 dishes between 2 people. Our favorites were the salmon kimbap, the uni tteok-bokki and the shrimp toast. (Note, we don’t eat red meat so cannot comment on those dishes). The crudo was a tad overdressed but fish was fresh. Highly recommend for a small party for pre show or pre night out dinner.

This may have been my favorite meal in LA. The food is so good, especially the Uni Tteokbokki which was so wild I keep thinking about it. It felt more like a dinner party than just going out to eat. Take an uber- you’ll be drinking.

Easily one of our favorite koreatown spots. We love Marvin. Try as many items as you can from the menu and grab a bottle of makgeolli. You’ll likely get some solid samples either way.

The kimchi pasta was delicious and unique (and I say this as an Italian 🤌). I recommend adding the bursts cheese to cool down the spice. Music was deep cut hip-hop. Overall great vibe.

I ordered the pay raise and rigatoni and both of them tasted really good with really nice flavor profiles. It is not your regular pocha style restaurant. If I could make an analogy, this is more of a high end experimental modern Pocha. I never had anything like the pay raise! It’s really unique and I like what they are doing! A+

Before anything, shout out to Marvin! He was extremely attentive. The rest of the staff were super polite and helpful as well.

For 4 people, we ordered 7 items from the menu, and tried 2 cocktails (Case Study and Seoul Highball), the Makgeolli flight, and Mungyeong Baram Soju 24.
Marvin’s recommendation on the Soju was on point.
For food, we tried the Honey Butter Chip, Shrimp Toast, Wagyu Yukhwe, Uni Tteokbokki, Rigatoni Alla Kimchi Vodka, Jja Jang Poutine, and Chimmelier Sijang Tongdak.
Collectively, we all loved the food.
Marvin did warn us that we should do maximum 4-5, and yes, we ended up with extra food :)

We will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu and repeat of the items we already had.

Salmon Kimbap was good for beers and soju
The shrimp toast was good but a little salty.

Really fun and lively spot! The servers are super friendly and service is great here. They have tasty soju based cocktails. I would describe their food more as sharable small plates that are modern and Korean inspired. We tried the tuna dip with trout roe and the waygu Yukhoe and a side of cucumbers and everything was super tasty! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and think it’s a great spot to meet up with friends, get a cool cocktail and have a couple of tasty bites!

So

Just had dinner here earlier tonight.
The atmosphere was lovely and the food tasted great — definitely a highlight.

That said, the portion sizes were pretty small for the price, so we finished our meals really quickly.
What left a bad impression was how the staff cleared our plates and brought us the bill right away, without us asking. We were hoping to sit and chat a bit longer, but it felt like we were being rushed out. So we just paid and left.

Probably the fastest $100 meal (tip included) I’ve ever had — we were in and out in under an hour. Ordered at 8:06 PM and left around 8:40 PM.
(8.55pm is a time that I posted the review)
