It's been a while, maybe a few years since I last checked into Johnny's bar... pre- pandemic for sure. And I've never been here so early,,,3:30pm ! Nice changes - upgrades since my last trip here: no more bench seating with small tables...back patio spacious and complete with lawn games. Om sitting under a vintage skylight at the bar that I've never ever noticed while here in the evening...beautiful soft light streaming in from above. Me likes dat'. Classic LA dive bar! This place has a lot of old school entertainment. The jukebox is from the 80s and there’s an old photo booth that spits out real photos. The drinks are great and affordable and the staff is fun!

Fanciest drinks at a dive bar! Super cute and clean place with a resident kitty. Barkeep was friendly and the drinks were tasty. Would absolutely go again. Heard they are shutting for some Reno time due to new ownership but I really hope they keep the vibe here which is immaculate. Point off bc no soap in the bathroom, no goose, no crown (my preferences).
