Superb pasta, beet salad was excellent. Pizza had a thin, crisp crust with a nice wood char and smokey flavor. They have an excellent wine selection. The atmosphere is casual. My food reviews are relative to others in a class... a hole in the wall 5-star review is not the same as my Michellin 5-star review.
To be honest I had low expectations for this place, partially because of all the reviews on here. However, this place blew me away. The Gem salad was light and refreshing with just the right amount of kick. The ricotta on toast was just out of this world. Probably my favorite. We saved a piece to eat as our dessert. The Roman Gladiator pizza was delicious- no flop. And I also got the wood grilled chicken (breast). Too much olives on the chicken for my taste but the tomatoes on...
