I’m particular about Japanese restaurants, but this one hits home. Very fresh sushi. Nigiri’s are wonderful. Thick sliced and tasteful. The spicy miso ramen is one of my favorites. Will visit again!

We visited this amazing spot around 9:30PM with a group of four, and every single one of us was absolutely delighted! 🤩🎉
We started with garlic edamame (such an incredible appetizer!), then ordered sushi, different types of ramen 🍜, and a few sake varieties to pair with our meal.
Everything was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor! The atmosphere inside was cozy and gave off a true Japanese vibe 🇯🇵

Dining at Kanpai Japanese Sushi Bar ＆ Grill K's Bistoro Los Angeles was an unforgettable experience where surrendering control to the staff turned out to be the best decision of the night. I'm hesitant to tell people about this place because the quality:price ratio is likely the best in the county. The variety of fish, great service, skill of the chefs- all outstanding. Not pretentious at all, but obsessed with quality.

I placed a pickup order for two Spicy Tuna Rolls and instead received hand rolls—despite clearly selecting “ROLL” on the menu. The restaurant’s own website shows photos of cut rolls, so it was obvious what I was expecting. When I called to resolve the issue, they refused to fix their mistake. Instead of apologizing or offering to send the correct items, they told me to walk back to the restaurant in the hot sun to return the food—even though the error was on their end. They didn’t offer to deliver the correct order or take any responsibility. They were apparently okay with losing a long-time customer over a $25 refund. I’ve been visiting this restaurant for over 5 years, and this was incredibly disappointing. To make matters worse, when I contacted their delivery platform (Dylish), the restaurant falsely claimed I received what I paid for—even though I have clear screenshots proving otherwise. The entire situation was handled unprofessionally, and no one seemed to care that I was sent the wrong order. Terrible customer service and zero accountability. I won’t be returning, and I recommend others order elsewhere.
