Summer Picnic Set from Katsuya- serves two people. Includes a Cold Box and a Hot Box. The Cold Box includes the California Roll, a Spicy Tuna Roll, a Yellowtail Jalapeño Sashimi, Baked Crab Roll, Cookies, and Garnishes ( soy source/dish, ginger, and wasabi). The Hot Box includes Miso Cod Bites, Brussels Sprouts, Shishito Peppers, Edamame, Balsamic Tsume and Yuzo Aioli ( served on the side), and Oshibori. Each box comes with a set of chopsticks.

Katsuya was an incredible experience. We went there for a date night and was absolutely in love with everything we had. We had the Katsuya Chef's Tasting Menu ($85 pp) which included 1. Hokkaido Scallop Sashimi: This was sublime! 2. Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice: This was probably the highlight of the entire meal for me. Pretty good experience. The ceviche in particular was our favorite (enough to get a second order). Birthday wasn't acknowledged as per the reservation. I sent the restaurant a message, but never received a response.

An exception to many Hollywood restaurants adjacent to tourist landmarks. So many establishments don't put the effort in because they know they may never see visiting patrons again. But Katsu-ya maintains their high quality of service and food. As fine as the day they opened (2007). Go-to dishes for me include the Spicy Tuna on crispy rice, which delivers savory texture, temperature, and flavor. Brussels Sprouts are next level, leafed like tiny lettuces and broiled to crisp-edged...
