I love the vibe here. Warm and welcoming, creative but not too frenetic. I got the Dirty Banana, a concoction with banana milk and espresso. It was absolutely delicious. You get the feeling that the people who work here love the place too. 'I try to have a Dirty Banana every single day,' the woman who took my order told me. Comfy seating, plants for sale, good background music, and vibes all around.

I've been getting drinks from K&M for years now (and the occasional sweet treat)--the drinks are always amazing. From black coffee to their espresso tonics and pandan horchata latte, everything is top notch. I don't know why it took me so long to try one of their breakfast sandwiches but I finally had one this morning and oh my god, it's the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I added basil aioli to The Basic B and almost laughed when I took a bite because it was so good. I'm not a huge Yelp Reviewer but I had to post about this sandwich. Thank you K&M for your exciting, delicious drinks and this amazing breakfast sandwich. Always a joy to stop by.

Cozy space with both indoor and outdoor. They have outlets to plug stuff. There's a cozy nook at the front that's not pictured. They have various drinks selections. The staff is friendly and eager to get your drink order. I got their vegan adobo breakfast burrito. It was ok. I could taste the flavor of soy curls when they're not rinse out enough. I will come back to try their other food and beverages. Definitely a place to read, bring a friend, or do some light work.

Clearly an amazing place where you can enjoy delicious food, cool baristas, great cooks and most of all an amazing owner who is not only kind and helps the community but is fun and truthful and sincere! How can you not be so awe-struck when she donated all of her first day profit to a nearby elementary school so she can help those little kids who couldn’t go to outdoor science school! During the pandemic she has always helped and supported our nurses and medical heroes by sending them coffee, drinks etc. Yes, I am very proud to say that I am the mother of a truly inspiring daughter who always knows what she wants to do in life. Yes, I am talking about Monique, also known as “Mo”. Ironically I’m not a coffee drinker(as she owns a coffee shop), but I always love her delicious hot chocolate, her Dad loves her coffee and swears other famous brand coffees are nothing compared to hers, but the fact is they are all true! We’ve eaten all of her healthy sandwiches and burritos that are truly oh so good! But we always go back to her original “Noxi” and “Herbie Hancock” yummy sandwiches. Her Basic B, so lovely and her vegan tocino and longganisa sandwiches, truly a spin of our Filipino heritage are oh so good! Makes my heart so full of joy when all people from different walks in life are enjoying our Filipino traditional food but with “Mo’s healthy spin on them”, But then she surprises us again and comes up with an Italian spin! Yes the Bella Ciao! Not to mention the pastries that she has carefully chosen to serve, but most of all, the different varieties of cold and hot drinks, too many to mention that are all so brilliantly concocted! All I can say is that you all have to try this amazing little coffee shop tucked in Highland Park, where everyone knows her by name!Vegetarian options: You just have to look at her website because there are so many amazing selections!

i rarely come here but every now and then i’ll try it because it’s close.. then remember why i don’t like it. baristas are always weird and rude. always some sassy latina taking out her lousy day on you, deliberately talking s about you to her coworker... a sign reads “no extra charge for alt milks since day 1”…. that’s easy when you’re charging $5.75 for a cappuccino lol. never again

I came here once before and loved the menu options and the vegan banh mi was super delicious but the second time around was just unpleasant for my friends and I. I know it’s LA and I know how it is to be a barista but man oh man, everyone was rude behind the bar! Just left a sad not for our day.

Great coffee in Highland Park. Really cute shop. Food menu looks interesting but I believe is primarily vegan and I did not try it at the time.

I love this place. I always try to stop by if I'm in the area. I usually either get the miso caramel latte (cold) or the hojicha (cold). The miso caramel latte has such a nice flavor profile that keeps me coming back. The hojicha is just tasty and the added milk or milk alternative really brings it to another level. I will update my review if I get a chance to try the black sesame latte. It's been on my wishlist, but I keep going back to my favorites.

This place is small and the menu is short. But everything is consistently good. The employees are chill and I leave feeling that nice neighborhood coffee shop feeling.

Am I the only one who thinks the staff is so unfriendly and rude? The cashier was initially distracted by the fact her friend brought her flowers which was fine because I didn't know what I wanted yet and there wasn't a line behind us. I ordered two sandwiches and when only one was left, she dryly said "there's only one. Your total is ..." I haven't even ordered a drink yet lol. When I put in my hojicha latte order, she gives me my updated total again when I haven't even ordered another drink for my partner at home. Like I understand if it's ridiculously busy, and I'm being really annoying and slow, but I literally already had the next drink in mind and there was no one behind me again. She says instructions about where to grab my drink, and to get my sandwich from the fridge. Sorry that I missed that the hot sandwich was going to come from the kitchen and they will call me, so when I asked her about that sandwich, she looked at me like I had asked her to do a little song and dance for her lol. I get it, it's kind of loud in there and I guess I wasn't paying attention? But no need to be rude. This coffee shop has a really nice bustling coffee shop vibe. it's fun, and there's a lot of chatter and excitement going around, unlike other coffee shops where you could literally hear a pin drop. I was searching through their yelp to see if I was literally the only one, and this cashier was just having a bad day. But apparently someone else thought the same about the staff being unfriendly and honestly in my case, just straight up, rude and weird and rushy.. and I was so disappointed to see that it's Filipino owned. like I get that it's in a gentrified neighborhood but my goodness this is not the fun, familial Filipino vibes. Three stars only because the food and drink wer decent. I wish I could say I'd wanna come back but definitely not for the annoyed and tense vibes from cashiers lol

I came here just before getting my mother some coffee and a little pastry. I ordered a regular latte and the kindness with oat milk. I also ordered the coffee cake and ube cheesecake. I completely forgot to take a picture but it was all delicious and made for a great start to the day. The service was exceptional as I was trying to choose between the kindness and pandan horchata and the barista told me the pandan horchata was a lot sweeter. I appreciated the feedback and ended up going with the kindness. It's a cute coffee shop on Figueroa and because of the time I went, around 845am, I found parking right in front. It is such a relaxed vibe with great service and coffee. I can imagine parking being tricky, but it's worth it.

The place has a good amount of seating but the vibe feels uncomfy. People behind the counter unfriendly and not warm. Cold brew tasted old and too strong, I didn't finish it. Pastries in the case didn't look inviting or fresh. Probably will choose another place next time for my morning caffeine kick.
