Went here last night with my boyfriend and we were able to find seating quickly on a Saturday night. We ordered a few dishes, most of them were okay, but the crab cakes tasted off. Since everything was so expensive we tried to finish all of our dishes, which was clearly a mistake. In the middle of the night my boyfriend got food poisoning and there is no doubt in my mind that the crab cakes were the culprit. This restaurant is already expensive, but it's certainly adding insult to injury at how much this place will cost you (both financially and physically).

Came here for a little get together and had a pretty solid meal! Nice flavors overall, though it was pricey for the serving size.

Love the ambience and location for this cozy local spot. Usually perch upstairs at the bar for cocktails and snacks. Last two visits the bar staff has been very surly. Not sure what's going on there but took the shine off the vibes. I know it can be a tough job but no excuse for rude when you're expecting a 20% tip.

I'm a regular at the bar upstairs. Typically only have great things to say, however, the last time I was there one of the bartenders was extremely rude to my friend and I. We asked a simple question about the wine and were given so much attitude... It was hard to relax and enjoy our appetizers and drinks afterwards! So uncomfortable!

We tried to get in to Alimento across the way but no tables left. So we stopped at L&E and there was 1 table left. We are fortunate because the food was tasty. We had branzino, crab linguine, steak au poivre, and scallops with risotto. Everyone was pleased and everything came out hot. It was good food. I would definitely visit again.

Cute little neighborhood spot. Came in on a rainy day. Had the spot to ourselves for a little while. Super cozy inside. Got the white negroni and eastside. Delicious! The lobster roll (warm) is absolutely heavenly. The branzino was crispy and juicy and well seasoned. The smores tart is really a stand out to me. Definitely worth the trip!

I think the ambiance of this place is soooo good. I can't attest for the food because we found it randomly and just went to the bar. I also can't attest for the cocktails because I was on an alcohol cleanse so I got a mocktail, which I can attest is very good. Service wise, I think our bartender wasn't really feeling it that say cuz sis did not look like she wanted to work that day. But it was raining so very valid. Honestly I would come back to try the restaurant.

Food was amazing. Definitely order the cauliflower, asparagus, crab claws and tomato & crab. However, what's even better is the service. Tommy gave exceptional service to me and my friends. He was super attentive, polite, and professional. Great service, definitely coming back!

finally made it to L&E & really enjoyed it! super fresh seafood & great service. had the crab salad, mushrooms, shrimp cocktail & fries & all were delicious. surprisingly I also enjoyed my paloma even though I completely didn't read that it had mezcal which isnt really my thing but it was quite mild which was nice. will be back again to try more for sure

To be honest I was expecting a long wait before getting seated, especially since they don't accept reservations. Even on a Thursday night, they quickly seated me. It's a very charming spot with more seating than I was expecting. There's a lot of space outside, so I'm excited to go back in the summer. I ordered the oysters, skillet corn bread, and carrots. Everything was delicious! The oysters were well shucked (and I really appreciated the fresh horseradish). If you get the cornbread (which might have been my fibrolite of all time) you should order it immediately as you sit down - it takes about 20 minutes since it's baked fresh. It comes with a heaping scoop of butter that melts. DELICIOUS! The carrots were warm and well balanced. I liked that they were rustic and still had a little crunch while still being soft. The green sauce was really refreshing as well - I think it was a blend of herbs and maybe a splash of EVOO and just a touch salt. I didn't get any pictures, but the drinks were great too. I order the long goodby and a naked and famous (off menu). Will definitely be back soon!
