The homemade tostadas are considered the best in L.A., making it a great choice for those making pozole or needing tostadas with meat or veggies. During the holidays, the staff is friendly and helpful, but knowing some basic Spanish can be handy. The prices are reasonable at $1.75/lb. Although a recent experience with hard hominy in the menudo was disappointing, this longtime customer is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt due to their longstanding positive experiences. Many also enjoy the tasty carnitas, tortillas, and the authentic feel of the food, making it a must-visit for Mexican food lovers.
