La Serenata Cantina is a wonderful family-run Mexican restaurant serving excellent and delicious food. The menu is plentiful, with a separate lunch portion menu for a smaller meal mid-day. Dishes are expertly prepared, graciously presented, and described as phenomenal, authentic, fresh, and flavorful. Specific standout dishes include the shrimp garlic tacos, the Guisado Steak Picado with lots of tender beef, the signature quesadilla with awesome cheese and fish, and sizzling steak and chicken fajitas served with excellent handmade corn tortillas. Sides like the black beans, including frijoles borrachos, and refreshing rice with a hint of mint are also praised. The staff is incredible, with service that is friendly, informative, attentative, and efficient. The restaurant offers $5 Margarita Mondays. Parking is non-existent, with street parking only.
