Wonderful place, delicious food. Even my 6 year old loved it.
Wether you are having a family meal with little ones or a date night, this is a great place for it.
Don't forget to try their Tej. Bought a bottle today and oh boy it's dangerously delicious.
Very earthy cavernous foodie experience. At first I didn't know what to try. The red lentils and mashed potatoes were really good. I liked the sky light. It felt like a hidden treasure in world foods. It wasn't too filling and the tea reinvigorated me. I wanna go again.

If you like authentic dishes this is the place for Ethiopian cuisine. Could be an acquired taste but if you’re willing to try it the food is seriously delicious. Although it takes some time to be served, it’s worth the wait. Solid choice if you’re visiting little Ethiopia!

Incredible flavors! The food here was amazing, and the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Portions were very generous, we split two dishes between the two of us and had plenty of leftovers. Was easy to get a table as well!

As a frequent taster of Ethiopian food, this was by far the best Ethiopian restaurant in the LA area. The awaze tibs had deep flavor and a spicy kick - just the way it's supposed to be. The Derek tibs was cooked with delicious herbs giving it a deep flavor. They've definitely upped their game at Lalibela recently, food is better than ever.

I am from Washington DC where there is a huge Ethiopian population in Adam's Morgan and I've been eating Ethiopian for at least 40 years from France to DC to NYC and beyond. Lalibela has some of the VERY BEST Ethiopian I've had anywhere, and at least as good even in Ethiopian homes and weddings. The atmosphere is not as great as other places which is what took me a while to get over there. But once you have the food you can't go back!!!! And it's not that the atmosphere is bad it's just that they could use a little bit more of that ethiopian touch. They probably want to go for the sleek eatery type look. But they would do better to make it a bit more ethnic so you could get the vibe. Having said that, I'll still never go anywhere else in los angeles for Ethiopian!

An excellent option if you are looking for traditional Ethiopian food. Their shakes of mango and avocado are great!

It was great!
Seems like a to-go heavy location as the dining room for lunch was very open. Muna took good care of us. Helped with recommendations and is very nice.
It does seem light on staff so be patient while waiting to be seated, maybe all hands on deck in kitchen for packing.
Very clean and pretty bathroom! Free 2hr Parking is plentiful a block away. The decor feels authentic and atmospheric if a little worn but very appropriate and good.
A very fun and mellow adventure.
