this was my first time trying ethiopian food, and i would ahve to say i was a very enjoyable experience! resturant wasn't busy when i went, but service was still slow. i give them grace because they're understaffed. food was hot and fresh. overall, 5/5 stars :)

Delicious & beautiful sampler platter served in such a welcome setting with lovely crisp table cloths. The place was nice and clean and service was wonderful with an attentive lady who came to explain the selections to us. First visit for my elderly mom who loved it!

Great food and atmosphere! Service is on slow side because under staffed but doesn’t bother me much. I always order meat combo #2 and vegi combo with fish (fried rainbow trout).
Pro tip: If you like honey wine, go to grocery across the street. They sell injera, spices and honey wines too. Bring some home!
update 2025 Sunner Taste of Lalibera $70 is very very very small portion for the price. Order regular one kind dish or other meat combo instead. I really don’t understand how they decide the portion for each menu but it wasn’t worth it and very disappointed. Do they serve more if you say individual plate instead of serve all order in one plate? Every tine I go it’s so random 😔 How can I make sure we get enough food for the group? Apparently paying double doesn’t mean double the size 👎

Lovely decor and good service. The waitress came to my table immediately and informed the kitchen would be closing soon. She did it to give me the opportunity to order. She was fast and attentive. The lamb stew was tender and flavorful.
Nice Ethiopian place, with some interesting options beyond the traditional platters. Warning: the fish is an entire fish with head and bones, which isn’t noted on the menu. Staff is very friendly.
