We celebrated my mom's birthday here and loved everything about the restaurant! The ambiance, service, food, and wine were all on point. Will be returning soon :)

What a gem. Small restaurant in a small vendor street with authentic, delicious French cuisine. Food isn't too rich, salty, or sweet, and tastes like home cuisine instead of restaurant food where sometimes they pile on the ingredients to make the food stand out. We had the prix fixe menu, which was a very reasonable price for amount of food. Dessert was especially outstanding, with the apple tart (large portion) and pistachio creme brulee which were both superb. Would highly recommend

We enjoyed our visit to L'Appart French restaurant. Located in interesting location of downtown Los Angeles. We appreciated both the food and the service. Worth a visit and we will be back soon. Parking available via paid lots in area.

L'APPART is a french 'diamond in the rough' in the middle of DTLA. The ambiance is quintessential 'ma mere's living room in Paris; very cute. The food is super delicious; the deviled eggs were yummy. The hostess/server is a sweetheart and she makes sure she takes care of the party. This is the perfect place for a date.

Amazing experience! The whole experience struck that perfect balance of cozy, elevated, and authentically French. Started at the wine bar, which had a fantastic selection of French wines and cocktails in an intimate setting. Then headed to the restaurant, we ordered the Mussels Marinières and the 48-Hour Duck Leg Confit—both were rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The mussels are a must and will be heading back soon just for them, get some bread on the side to dip in the sauce.

Such a delightful place. Calm, secluded. Really great service and food. Parking next door (not validated).

Lovely little restaurant, authentic and delicious. The bar seemed to be pretty vibey for jazz night. My daughter and I sat on the restaurant side, really enjoyed it. A little off the beaten path but a gem of a restaurant.

Oh, man, this was fun! My friend invited me for a Twilight meal experience. Twilight isn't my thing, but this was very fun. I'm glad I went. I will check out their other experiences, for sure.

I apologize--I wrote a long positive review and before it posted, it erased. I started again and wrote a long detailed review, and it erased again. Not doing it a 3rd time-- just know I will return

Cozy, intimate space. Delicious pizza, we tried three different types. Tasty cocktails, although they kept forgetting to bring our orders and we had to remind them. The current pop hits playing in the background took away from the French inspired ambience they tried to create.

Absolutely authentic French experience! The service was amazing for european standards, they might not overwhelm you with joy but they will make sure things are to your taste! The evening was absolutely fantastic, the food was spectacular in terms of presentation, taste and for a very good price as well. Some older couple that I met at the restaurant said that for them the area was a little sketchy, and is true, specially the part of a little, not too much really… At the end, the bill had a little subcharge that unless you ask, they might not tell you what it is, but that they will remove if it bothers you, for us it didn’t, the waiter said that it was a charge due to inflation and considering the great experience and the overall good prices for the food, we didn’t mind paying it, I strongly advise you, if you can, do the same… But it is definitely a must visit if you like French food 😙🤌🏼

I went there for Valentine’s Day for the $90 prefix menu. I was extremely disappointed by the amount of food served for the price and overall flavor. I really wanted to love it and gave it a chance from all the raving reviews but was it was honestly a let down.

Nice dinner. Owner was super nice. Wine was good. We ate early and place was fairly quiet but filled in as we were finishing up. Dessert was great and topped it off with our first Waymo ride back to our car.

We booked well in advance for Valentine’s Day, as we don’t go out often and wanted to treat ourselves. A few days before the event, we received a call informing us that they would only be serving a three-course menu for $90 per person. Since our plans were already set and we didn’t have the time or desire to look for alternatives, we agreed.

The food was okay, but nothing we ordered stood out as “amazing.” One of us was more satisfied with the main course, but overall, the experience was underwhelming. The desserts were especially disappointing—particularly the profiteroles, which seemed like they had been sitting in the fridge for days before reaching our table. The atmosphere in the restaurant felt a bit off, and the check, along with the payment terminal, was brought to us the moment we finished eating—without us even asking.

While their regular menu seems promising, this experience was disappointing, especially considering how much we spent.
