I have visited this establishment perhaps five times at most, over a period of about 20 years. I am not a super fan of tamales in general, but Liliana's Tamales's tamales can make ANYBODY into a tamales enthusiast. Liliana's Tamales offers about 20 to 30 different varieties of of the tamal (correct spelling for ONE tamal — nobody eats "one tamal," though). One of the best Cuban restaurant I have tried in the CA area. The place is a hole in the wall in the silver lake/echo park area. Pretty small, but clean with some nice Cuban decoration. I had the pork plate with rice and beans, it was delicious seasoned and very tender, and I also ordered a guanábana juice. Next time I'll try the famous cuban sandwich. Everything was flavorful and the service was very welcoming.

Chilaquiles with salsa verde, steak and freshly squeezed carrot juice from the juice bar is what I like to order for breakfast at Las Palmas Restaurant in Boyle Heights.
