Lo/Cal Coffee & Market - Fairfax

Just went there and the both workers treated me as if I was leper. This was my first time being there and instead of explaining the menu or having any type of social interaction with me they just kept a watchful eye on me. When I finally did pick something to order, I saw something else and asked the cashier about it and how much it was since there was no price on its marketing. His tone gave off dismissive as if I wouldn’t be able to afford the food. I had just came from the gym and was excited to find a new staple in the area I recently moved to and that was not the energy afforded to me at this establishment. I don’t plan on coming back.

this is my favorite coffee in la <3 specifically the honey lavender latte!! first sip is always like a breath of fresh air and sets me on a positive trajectory for my whole day! they also have really good food! their whole menu is honestly so intriguing in the best way! the cafe is a cute & chill space to work as well with indoor and outdoor options :)) 10/10 recommend, i’m so happy i live down the street!

Most coffee places around here are just inside a strip mall. This place is very cute and coffee was pretty decent. Outdoor seating as well.

cute spot and third space. i ordered the breakfast sandwich (without bacon) $18 and it was pretty good. i’d rate it a 6/10, it’s nothing crazy but take into account i didn’t order the bacon which i imagine adds flavor. service was quick and there was a lot of seating on a thursday noon. i will say if you have even a slight sensitivity to avocado skip this. the smashed avocado is very potent and might give some belly issues as it did for me (not the sandwiches fault jist an fyi). not super memorable, just a fair experience 😊

Okay but expensive.

Coffee was absolutely trash because I had to throw away my Americano after three sips. The shots pulled were so ridiculously burnt. I understand now why there was no one in the cafe at 10 AM on a Saturday.

I liked this spot the fist time I went but today it was not that great. You could tell they’re a bit short staffed cause the girl taking out order had to do the drinks too and she was rushing a bit. Would be great if there was maybe one other person working!
