Service sucked and food was genuinely terrible. They didn’t bring out two of our four dishes. Do not go here

Loreto is currently my favorite restaurant. I don’t even consider myself a seafood person but wow, every dish they have brings me closer to it. Drinks, food, desserts, and service are all impeccable. Tonight we got to do the omakase which was so unique and a really amazing experience. All the dishes were creatively thought out with seasonal ingredients in mind. I’ll definitely be coming back in the summer for their next one!!

Loreto lived up to my expectations in every aspect. Last minute they were able to accommodate an extra guest for our table, which was much appreciated! Our server (I forget her name, so sorry!) was so attentive and helpful; we had a gluten allergy and she was able to let us know on the spot which dishes had gluten and which didn't. We were coursed so well, with all of the ceviches and tostadas arriving first, followed by hot dishes. For a group of five, we ordered: -3 Oysters Preparado -yellowtail sashimi -Aguachiles Rojo -Leche de Tigre -Bay Scallop ceviche -Tostada a la Joaquin -Tostada Kondo -Tostada Bang Bang! -Camote Horneado -Mar-Esquites -Empanadas de Camaron -Albondigas de Camaron. My favorites of the night were the Aguachiles Rojo, Tostada Kondo and the Albondigas; however the shining star of the night was the Tostada a la Joaquin. The aquachiles was perfectly spicy and fresh with a lot of umami- I could eat 3 servings of this!! Tostada Kondo was also fresh and the scallops were so soft and buttery. The albondigas were an excellent hot dish to share and the green curry they were served in was flavorful and bright. The oysters and yellowtail to start were also excellent. The Tostada a la Joaquin was absolutely perfect; the otoro melted in your mouth and the yuzu vinaigrette was perfectly rich to compliment the tuna. Everyone was so impressed by this dish. The Leche de Tigre and Camote Horneado fell a bit flat for me, but were still enjoyable alongside the other dishes. We had a round of drinks; I ordered the Todos Santos Milkpunch and loved it. Everyone enjoyed their drinks as well! I took not one photo (which is rare for me) because the food and company was so good. We had so much fun here and will return so soon!!

Very lively seafood joint. I found it surprisingly upscale for Frogtown. Excellent quality seafood, but very heavily seasoned, if that's your thing. Some of the delicacy of the freshness was lost amidst the heavy-handed sauces. It was all beautifully crafted; it's just not my preference. It's a lovely space that's good for larger groups.

The food was amazing, the place is beautiful! The one that made the experience better was the bar back of the bar, he was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Was a nice dinner!!

Overall had a poor experience at this restaurant. I booked it to celebrate my birthday with my family. The table we were seated at was wobbly and our drinks spilled every time someone applied pressure. We were moved to the back of the patio where the heaters were not working properly and would turn off w/o warning. The service staff was not engaged and did not clear the table regularly to make room for the dishes that were coming out of the kitchen. They did not spend time discussing the dishes that apparently were served family style and did not provide clean plates until food was cold. We will not be returning.

Great experience celebrating Date Night. We loved every dish we selected from the Oysters, Fig Ceviche, Bang Bang Tostada and Surf and Turf. The churros and pear tart for dessert capped an amazing evening.

Food was incredible. Sashimi is great, tostadas were generously sized, drinks were incredible. Only negative was the service. Our server was friendly & kind but took way too long to check on us. Tried to get her attention multiple times to no avail, & at times she'd walk into our section without coming to our table despite my efforts to get her attention. Would go again

The Bronzino dish was out of this world- I’d skip the appetizers and go straight for this - it’s a feast, and definitely enough for two hungry adults. Once we got to this, which was not explained well by our server, I could enjoy a meal. There wasn’t anything they could be flexible enough to serve. Dishes are cooked in bacon and/ or mayonnaise. They don’t offer a green salad. Highly recommend for seafood lovers. The atmosphere was great- bring a coat at night.Vegetarian options: No vegetarian options- could not take bacon out of shrimp tacos, or mayo out of anything. Not flexible at all.Parking: Valet parking

I had high hopes...having recently been to Mexico City and then reading the recommendation from Infatuation LA. The restaurant interior is striking...soaring industrial-type wood ceiling and covered patio. Food mostly great: Fig Ceviche, small but delicious, Camote Horneado (sweet potato with all sorts of add-ins), and the Branzino "Zarandeado" was a meal in itself (rice, beans, pickled onions, salsas). However the tortillas were grocery store quality and the quesadillas tasted re-heated from yesterday. The drinks (Margarita, Mezcalita) were primarily ice...disappointing at $18/each. Although the service was efficient, the hostesses & all the servers throughout were generally cold & expressionless as they moved throughout the room (seeming to be focused on "I can't wait for my shift to be over"). And as beautiful as the facility was, the noise level was deafening...I guess more of a disadvantage being north of 30! $240 (including tip + 4% service charge) for 2 was rather steep for the experience - glad we went, but not compelled to return.

Food was outstanding aside from the empanadas. Drinks were superb . Joaquin was excellent and very helpful. Crowd was a bit too damn loud at times. Everything is very well run - can tell the management knows what they're doing and is hiring well. Happy loreto is part of the neighborhood. Thankful for the patio covering in this rain too!
