Located just a 15-minute walk from the Ahmanson Theatre, Maccheroni Republic is a wonderful find. The outdoor seating area is inviting, and the service is top-notch. We enjoyed the Burrata appetizer and indulged in two pasta dishes: Bianchi Neri and Pom'Amore, both of which were absolutely delicious. A perfect pre-show dining spot with great ambiance and even better food.

With over 10 years of patronage, I really did need to update my review. Especially in good consideration of a post-pandemic update.I consider Maccheroni Republic on a necessity list for DTLA dining or simply a choice for good Italian-style cooking. Their flavors are on point without being overly done or exaggerated.I have my favorites, but surely as you read my review I highly suggest you develop a list of your own. You really can not go wrong with sticking to their daily specials and/or the Signature B&W Pasta on their regular menu. Also, the simplistic meatballs in their appetizer section are always an easy go-to if indecision is plaguing you. They are simply delicious sitting that tomato sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes.Weekday dining is always a pleasure with the reduced crowds. Metro stops are not far away along with the Grand Central Market and Angel's Flight.Highest mark goes to the excellent service that makes this affordable dining experience a staple in DTLA.

Last night my husband and I took a walk to find something to eat and stumbled across this gorgeous little restaurant. First and foremost we want to thank Niko so much! He was super thoughtful of anyone who came in including new comers. Super patient and helpful with the menu. We've never had an encounter quite like his. Atmosphere was delightful. Food menu had many options with specials. I couldn't decide on two dishes and Niko surprised me when the food was brought out! For appetizers we ordered the calamari in zimino... it was fresh, crispy and had great taste! Our dishes were the gnocchi con fonduta di parmigiana, Ossobuco con risotto & Linguine Ai Frutti di Mare. All of the dishes were 100/10. We have eaten out a ton of times and we agreed that it was one of the top restaurants we've ate at. Top 3 for sure! Gnocchi tasted like Christmas. Risitto was warm and fulfilling definitely felt like home. Linguine was the best seafood pasta we've had in a long time.The flourless chocolate cake was light, fluffy and the perfect dessert to end the night. All of their desserts are made in house making it super fresh. We are so happy this is the place we sat down at. We will return when we come back into town. This place did not disappoint!Parking: Parking garage there. The restaurant will cover the first 3 hours!

Food good flavor, rich seasoningsService you have to ask for extra bread, waiters not very attentive because is to many customers for the amount of servers. Parking is validated but i didn’t know that and i had to pay. Theres no sign that parking has an assign parking garage.The atmosphere is nice.
