Adorable place with fantastic service and reasonable prices. The standouts were the lightly breaded and burrata with truffles for an appetizer and the pasta with meatballs for the entree. Delicious!
François the owner was very welcoming. Despite being on Melrose, Gela has an intimate ambiance. The menu is simple and the food has a home cooked quality to it. We are happy to have it in the neighborhood.

Wonderful experience! Loved the ambiance. Francois was a great host and chef. Food was served quickly. The burrata, ravioli and meatballs were fantastic. His mother’s Sicilian influence is present in all the food and the flavor reminded me so much of some of my favorite meals in Italy. Also a very nice wine selection. Can’t wait to go back!
