Matū Kai Reviews
One of the best steaks I’ve had in my whole life. Got the matu dinner for two. Very tender, cooked the perfect amount and seasoned well. Unfortunately we were sat at a table that was relatively uncomfortable for 4 people but we had booked the table late.
Best steak and cheese around!
Standout service from Benjamin at Valet, food and ambiance was fantastic as well.

Matū Kai is a restaurant that has left a strong impression on its guests. The food is described as excellent, delicious, and full of flavor, with everything perfectly prepared. One of the best steaks was had there, with the matu dinner for two being very tender, cooked the perfect amount, and seasoned well. The wagyu Philly cheesesteak is a known item, featuring very tender meat of good quality, onions, and big pepper that went well with a kick, plus a sesame roll with a texture that reminds of a Chinese sesame ball, making it extra chewy and not jaw breaking. The staff is really nice, warm, welcoming, attentive, and friendly, making guests feel celebrated and special. The restaurant is really nice with a great atmosphere, and there was no long wait to get a place at the bar. Cocktails are good, including the a la Louisiane with an absinthe wash, which was strong, herbaceous, and good. Some found it pricey, but overall it is highly recommended, with many wanting to come back.
