This place is sort of weird. One of our friends arrived a bit earlier and the servers didn't let her sit outside because they were trying to create a "vibe" inside. More shenanigans over seating and their respective rules ensued after the rest of us arrived. It all seemed very arbitrary. I had to get up to place my food order on an iPad that the server didn't bring over to the table. Service reminded me of the Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld or Gen X cusp hipsters in early 2000s Williamsburg.
The interior is nice and it was only pleasant when the servers were not near our table. They were kind of aggro. I didn't like it

Don’t go there. The place has weird, entitled vibes. I live in the neighborhood and stop by there with a friend on a Friday night, we had two drinks and when they brought the check the gratuity was already added, 30 %
I was shocked! I will never ever go back.

I had been wanting to try this place, and when a friend and I were taking a walk in the neighborhood, we decided to stop by for a drink. I had a glass of cava, my friend a beer. Total was 26, but the place decided that they’d add a 31% tip to my tab. When I asked for the check and server brought the pos machine, she told me not to worry about adding a tip as it was already included. At 31% of a $26 tab. I paid, as I didn’t want to make my friend feel uncomfortable. Completely unacceptable. Last time I checked, tip was still voluntary and I thought of leaving the usual 20%. Not so much about the money, which of course, it is my $, but the audacity to implement mandatory tip percentages on customers is beyond my comprehension. Will not be coming back ever, keep your pretentious place for others,

Just found out Melody now serves coffee at 630 am! Stopped by for a chocolate croissant and cortado, delicious. All the pastries I’ve had so far have been great and fresh. Really like that the open so early so I can get my coffee before work. Beautiful atmosphere

Lovely space and beautiful patio for the summer. Good wine selection and food is a seasonal menu that rotates with great chefs. Great for sharing a bite to eat and enjoying the atmosphere

The space is very nice and the service was good. I am giving a 1-star review because we were required to pay a 20% gratuity. I am not opposed to tipping, but the automatic gratuity on two $17 glasses of wine felt unreasonable. If you are not opposed prices, I would recommend this place for its atmosphere.

Gorgeous space, good wine, and aperitivo by the glass. Stay for the plants, evening light, and warm, attentive service.

The snack I ordered during happy hour was pretty damn tasty, although sitting out front looked nicer from a distance than it actually was being there. Service was inconsistent, that being said I’m curious to come back to try out some more of the food.

2 glasses of wine, 2 beers, and a meat cheese tray was $136. $136..... $136
The server explained the bill to me before hand I guess because he is used to the shock.
Utterly insane prices. Will never return.

Fantastic setting, yummy food — cool concept with the pop-ups. ALMOST the perfect neighborhood wine bar.I live walking distance from Melody, but I don’t frequent the place because I every time I go there I leave frustrated.I would seriously be there once a week if the quality of the wine was more reliable.IMO, a couple of factors contribute to this problem. 1 — the emphasis on natural/funky wines. Not a whole lot of options for people who prefer a more traditional taste. 2 — and this is most important — the servers don't know very much about wine. Why should I spend $70 on a bottle of Chardonnay if the person selling it to me can’t even tell me whether it’s oaked or unoaked? And usually, I’m unable to taste before I buy. It turns every purchase into a gamble, which is fine, but only if you’re not charging upscale restaurant prices at a place that bills itself as primarily a wine bar and bottle shop.Honestly if this establishment got a little more meticulous about the wine aspect of the experience, I’d be here all the time.
