The most authentic italian restaurant in LA. Classic menu and they do the classics with perfection. Incredible food, service, and atmosphere. It made me feel like I was having dinner at my grandmothers house. Chicken Marsala and bruschetta were top tier.

My favorite pizza, and my favorite place. The service is amazing and i’m never disappointed with any of my food. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to take any questions about the menu. The homemade tiramisu is the best!

Was in the area and wanted to try it. It's small and family owned. I had to consistently get up to get water or service it got to a point where a regular who frequently there started to help me. I asked for the bill and I just recieved the payment pad to pay without and itemized receipt. I had an affogato and asked for simple and almond milk to finish my coffee. After paying I got the bill and was charged 1.00 for simple and 2.00 for almond milk.
I asked them who charges for cream and sugar for coffee he says well you asked for almond milk and I have to pay for it. 2 bucks tho
After thinking about it this company is hard up for money. Like it's giving we gotta take our customers for all we can.
I decided they are actually poor and can keep the dough
Yes I asked you to charge my phone and it didn't charge at all i left with 10 percent battery. Yes I paid 12 for an affagoto and asked for ice and almond milk to stretch my espresso that I paid for

I went back to Michelangelo last night after not having been there for years, and I gotta say-- there is something so unique about this wonderful family-owned restaurant. It's become a neighborhood staple over the years, and you'd be hard-pressed to find Italian food of this quality anywhere around. Everyone from Tony the manager to his mother Domenica in the kitchen, wonderful servers Sammy and Miguel warmly welcome you-- coming here feels like coming home. I would absolutely recommend Michelangelo for anyone looking for delicious, legitimate Italian food in the Silverlake area. Bravo's all around.

Sammy was a great waiter. I love this place. They made the best eggplant parmigiana. Everything was great here, the ambience, the food, the service and the price was not expensive at all.

Popped in this afternoon, and were warmly welcomed and had a lovely meal and experience. Excellent drinks, entrees, and dessert. Server was great, the food was yummy. Sitting outside was lovely today. We will come back. Highly recommend this little gem of a family Italian restaurant.

Everything was SO delicious! We came here for the first time today for my sister's birthday and the entire experience was fantastic!

The atmosphere is intimate and beautiful. We sat inside but there is also an outside patio option. Our server was so nice and attentive. He answered all our menu questions. We also met Tony one of the brothers who owns the restaurant and personally creates the menu. It's family owned and they have been in the silverlake area for 27 years. Having recently moved into the area we are so happy to support a local family owned business.

They have an extensive drink menu with wine and bar options. My mom got a specialty Irish coffee and my brother got their margarita both of which they greatly enjoyed.

We had the bruschetta appetizer which was light and delicious to start with. Then my brother and mom split the sage butter ravioli and one of the specials of the day a pear strawberry date candied walnut salad with crumbled feta cheese they raved about. My brother said the raviolis were the best he's ever tried. The sage butter sauce in particular was exceptional. My sister loved her Fettuccine Alfredo! I got the fish of the day which was perfectly cooked and the lemon caper sauce was exquisite! They easily accommodated my dietary restrictions and were so nice about it. Our server walked me through which options on the menu were dairy free and I had quite a few to choose from. I also noted for next time that they have a gluten free pasta substitution for those who want it. My brother got a Pappardelle Alla Domenica to go because everything was so good and he also rated that extremely high when I asked.
I didn't take photos because we were so busy eating and celebrating but everything was beautifully plated in addition to being delicious.

We ended the meal with a tiramisu which my family loved and I had a cafe latte which they easily substituted almond milk for me. They brought out a birthday hat and decorations and we sang happy birthday to my sister who was incredibly happy! We are so grateful they made her day so wonderful and memorable. We will definitely be back!!

As an Italian citizen I am really impressed! It was so good and tasty, even many restaurants in Italy cannot be that good! I was so shocked when they give us bread and also olive oil with vinegar, it’s so Italian thing! Really recommend!
