I won’t be going back to this restaurant. I’ve taken friends here before for a few times, food was always just fine but it’s a cute spot to hang. Last night I decided to bring my parents here after a hike in Griffith Park for its proximity and atmosphere - BIG REGRET!!! They assigned us a table at the far end of the room due to their “full reservations” but by the time we left, 80%of the tables were still unseated, and bizarrely all the white customers were sitting at the center far away from us. And because we were away from everyone else, we had two or three waiters rotating for our table, making the communication very inconsistent and ineffective.
I don’t know if food still matters at this point, but our grilled branzino filet didn’t have all the bones cleaned out.
Giving it two stars instead of one because I did have some good memories here from a long time ago.
First I just want to say Maya was awesome! She knew the menu and explained everything so clearly... And she was just great and kind and patient to our group... Second the food is delicious! Highly recommend the Burrito!

Went here on a Friday night with no reservations but the staff kindly suggested that my party of 5 go down to the communal tables and it was not difficult to be seated and enjoy a great dinner and drinks!
This is upscale and gourmet Mexican food and they do it right out here!

Great ambiance, solid cocktails, ridiculous pricing ($12 for a single taco…)

This is a limited review and a warning if you are planning to dine at the restaurant. Despite whatever the website schedule says and a lack of clear explanation, if you arrive at 230 pm on Saturday the only seatings available are stool seats at the bar and a quite limited bar menu they call their “in between” menu. We were disappointed after shlepping over here to try some of the cool seafood dishes.
The vibe/decoration seems cool, and since we left I cannot speak to the food.

I don’t know if this place was ever vibe-y but it certainly isn’t now

On top of a mandatory 4% service fee, tipping still starts at 20%. And when selecting the tip on the screen, the server keeps watching, which makes me feel pressured and uncomfortable. This kind of culture really needs to stop.

Went there tonight on my first day in L.A. EVER for my anniversary and everything was ABSOLUTELY perfect ♥︎
Our date started trying a non alcoholic cocktail and a Tommy's Margarita with mezcal (which we bought before we left because it was AMAZING) and then we moved to our table near the central tree.. our waiter, Rudy, friendly introduced himself and with a rare enthusiasm told us everything we needed to know from the food and drinks... We felt at home during the whole night.
We will definitely visit again whenever it will be possible 🫶🏻

Worth the hype!!! Beautiful decor, plating, and dishware. The cocktails were simply excellent, the portions were generous (especially the cochinita pibil, glad we had a good group to share), and all the flavors and textures were interesting and delicious!! Great place to bring a larger group, date night, or to impress out-of-towners with some inventive and elevated Mexican food.

I had dinner here last night and it was pretty good. The restaurant space itself is quite unique and doesn’t feel like a typical LA restaurant. It’s a rather large restaurant, spanning two stories and feels like a little escape from the city. The food was very good, especially the rainbow carrots and kanpachi Aguachile. I would order those two items again. The guacamole also tasted great but the portion for the price with a little bit on the small side. The mezcal flight was fun to try too ! My only criticism would be that I thought it was just a pricey. The service was solid, no complaints.

Good crispy chicken tacos, but the sauce was a little barbecuey if you will 😏
This place is such and experience. Definitely sit at the bar area downstairs where the tree is. Its so beautiful. The flavor in this food is so memorable. We got the cochinita pibil, some cocktails, and some tacos. Absolutely delectable, all of it. The salsa was spicy and fresh. The avocado sauce was very well balanced. Our server was super personable as well. Great for photo ops and a beautiful night out. Take a date here.
