Mona Pasta Bar Reviews
everything everything was perfect but there are mosquitoes and ac is not good by the window☹one of us is itchy😖the other one is sweaty 🥵 but for the food and service it worths it😛. However, it could be a more pleasant experience 🥺🙁😩
Odd location for a nice dinner (not the best downtown location) but great food/price, and fantastic service! Would come again if I am already near, but not really a destination restaurant. I did enjoy the food and service very much. I could taste a lot of care and love in the food.
Great service, great food. Love our servers. We go at least once a month because of the experience

Mona Pasta Bar offers a limited but outstanding menu, featuring dishes like calamari, Brussels sprouts, lumache, pappardelle, casarecce, and branzino that receive high praise from diners. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, striving to provide an excellent customer experience and often going above and beyond to address any issues. Visitors frequently comment on the friendly service, with staff being especially kind and welcoming. The food consistently impresses, with favorites like the Caesar salad, vodka sauce pasta, Cacio e Pepe, and Olive Oil Cake dessert receiving top marks. Guests have remarked on the outstanding flavors, claiming it tastes better than homemade old family recipes. The pasta is made in-house, and the staff's wine knowledge enhances the enjoyable experience. While the space feels cozy and charming, resembling a grandma’s kitchen, some customers have noted that the atmosphere can feel cold and impersonal at times. Many guests consider Mona Pasta Bar a hidden gem and one of their favorite restaurants in downtown LA, with the food being worth any minor inconveniences, such as seating discomfort from stools that some found less comfortable. Despite this, diners express a strong desire to return, emphasizing the excellent food and friendly staff.
