Came here on a Saturday night and it wasn't too packed. We got seated and were served water, kimchi and some pickled cabbage dish. I wanted to order something with a little kick to it, so I tried the Knife cut noodle in spicy chicken broth. I thought it was good, however it wasn't really spicy. Felt like it lacked just a bit of flavor in it. The overall place was clean and brightly lit up. Customer service was great. Would probably come back to give something else a try on the menu.

Finally tried the famous MDK Noodles. Bf and I shared the spicy kalguksu and shrimp&pork dumplings. Both were delicious! The soup is spicy but their kimchi was spicier (but super flavorful). Their dumplings are AMAZING--loaded with fillings and dumpling skin was super thin; definitely will come back for them. We got lucky and found street parking right next to the restaurant (we came here around 6pm on Friday) but i believe there is a lot right across the street.

Sunday early lunch it was easy to seat a party of 7. We were given ice water and multiple sets of regular kimchi and white kimchi. We were all really surprised at how spicy the regular kinchi was! Food came out relatively quickly. I wasn't too hungry and was able to split the kalguksu with a friend where we were both just satisfied. I enjoy how these noodles are slightly thinner and how the soup has wood ear and dumplings! I would definitely come here again.

When it's cold and rainy, I automatically wan this piping hot bowl of kal-gook-soo (literally means knife + noodles) and mandoo (Korean dumplings). They have several different broth selections and my favorite is the anchovy & kelp one. They serve many other popular Korean dishes, but I love their signature kalgooksoo.

Good food! Love their rice cake with dumpling soup! Their bibimbap was just ok in my opinion but.. I'd go for the rice cake with dumpling soup any day!

Great thick noodles but cash only. Like the beef noodle soup and the egg and tomatoes for kids

Ordered the Knife Cut Noodle in Chicken Broth. Soup is rich with flavor and makes for a hearty meal. Portion is generous but not overly filling. I've also ordered the spicy version and feel the non-spicy is more soothing.

This place is bright and clean with lots of seating. We waited about 5 minutes before we got seated in a party of 5. I def recommend ordering the food family style bc the portions are shareable and huge. The majority of us couldn't finish our bowl of noodles. The pan fried dumplings were pretty good. The kimchi is a little bit on the spicy side. So if you get any of the spicy dishes, it's about the same level of spicy.

Great place for casual dining. No pretentiousness, it is what it is. Finding the place was easy, on the street corner, but parking seems to be mostly street parking, which is a bit of a hassle but not a deal breaker. The restaurant is super bright, the lighting could use some work but definitely nothing "shady" about it (pun intended). The food is solid, not the best I've had but definitely good for dinner with friends on a casual night, you can probably go in PJs or gym clothes. Convenient and large portions so if you want to eat a reasonable amount, I would recommend sharing 1 or 2 dishes with between 2 people or among 3 people to avoid overeating. I really liked their knife cut noodle in spicy chicken broth and dumpling soup, which has way more dumplings than I had expected. They're not stingy. Also lots of kimchi to go with it on the side. Overall, good experience, efficient service, although I did go at 9pm and they close at 9:30pm, so not sure about peak time crowd. Parking is the usual Ktown parking situation on the street. It's not fancy, but it's solidly delicious.

Way too salty and I got food poisoning on top of that. Dont understand the hype at all. Service is nonexistent

I never saw the appeal of eating purposely cold food, so I always stayed away from naengmyeon. My friend finally convinced me to try some at MDK, and wow. Self-reminder to always keep an open mind when it comes to food. I loved it. It was perfectly seasoned -- savory, yet still refreshing. The sides were delicious. We also got the pork dumplings, which I thought was on the blander side. But overall, a great first experience. The workers were sweet and attentive, making the space feel very homey.

Pretty chill noodle place, food came out pretty quick and was good with a really solid portion size. However, we came in with a group of 6, and it may be their rules, but I found it frustrating that there weren't that many people in the restaurant but we couldn't put 2 tables together to make a larger table for our group, eventually after asking a few times we were able to move to a larger table where all 6 of us could sit together. Pretty cheap parking here as well, overall would go back but maybe in a smaller group.

Everything at MDK was great. From the service to the food. The dumplings were amazing and better than the ones I tried in Seoul. The wrapper was thin, just enough to hold the delicious and juicy pork filling. We got the cold green noodles. Perfect balance of spicy and noodles were nice and chewy. Definitely will be back.

This chicken noodle soup is renowned as the best in town, comparable only to the iconic mdk in Seoul. It is particularly delightful on rainy days like today. The serving size is generous, and the soup boasts an authentic Korean flavor, enriched with a garlicky kimchi that not only tantalizes the taste buds but is also beneficial for health.

The arrowroot bibim cold noodles, shrimp dumplings, and kimchi pancakes are delicious. I happened to stop by during a company dinner, and the restaurant was very large and clean, and there were plenty of empty seats, so I was able to eat without waiting. The bibim naengmyeon was really delicious, but the kimchi pancake was a bit burnt, which was disappointing, and the shrimp dumplings were delicious. The kimchi served as a side dish contained so much garlic that I couldn't eat it, so we barely touched it at our table. The food came out quickly, the place was clean, and it tasted good.
