We tried it today from postnate. The rice was soft and marinated well. The sauces are yummy. Chicken were tender and well cook. I love it except the portion is small for the price. They can cut down on the packaging and lower the price to match the competitors?

This was the first time I've tried Hainan Chicken Rice and was pleasantly surprised. These guys offered quality and fresh ingredients, offer a 3 item menu, and serve in the East LA area and for that I have to give them props! Great portions, ok price, def worth the shot!

This is the first time we've ever had Hainan Chicken Rice so take this review with a grain of salt. Naked Chick specializes in one dish and one dish only and that's Hainan Chicken Rice. It's the national dish of Singapore and prevalant in southern China. Here's a little history "In Singapore the dish was born of frugality, created by servant-class immigrants trying to stretch the flavor of the chicken. The first chicken rice restaurants opened in Singapore during Japanese occupation in World War II, when the British were forced out and their Hainanese servants lost their source of income." So with all that said, I was curious to try this dish and I was pleasantly surprised. The thought of poached chicken kinda grossed me out but I was open to seeing what could happen. I'm in love with the sauce combo options for this ever so simple meal! They provide this orange mildly hot sauce, a ginger sauce, and something else and I can't say enough about how impressed I was with that flavor profile. Now was this place the BEST when in came to mastering Hainan CR...I would say there's room for improvement but here are the Pros: - solid portions - reasonably price - perfectly packaged for takeout - quality ingredients - pretty good execution I'll be back! The chicken was very dry in both portions that was ordered. I did like their rice because it was flavorful and they do give quite a bit of it. The ginger sauce was good but it didn't really help the dry chicken. The other sauces were a bit watery. I'd definitely order from here again if I had a delivery craving but there are better chicken rice places if you're willing to drive a bit.

Speaking of portions, wow, that is A LOT of rice for one bowl. Delivery was completed by the estimated time, and was a simple process. Overall, decent hainan chicken, pricier than competitors, and huge amounts of rice.

Great service and the food was amazing! I'm a creature of habit and Savoy was my go to for Hainan Chicken, but after an order from the Naked Chik 3 weeks ago, this has been on my weekly rotation. The chicken was super tasty and moist. The rice is cooked in chicken broth and compliments the chicken perfectly. What really got me hooked were the sauces...and I'm very surprised to say they go head to head with Savoy! They're only delivering right now, but if you're in LA and craving Hainan Chicken, there's finally a good option. Highly recommend!

My new favorite place to get delivery. This place is so GOOD. Ordered the standard size chicken and rice plate - its HUGE. Two big full meals for sure. Delivery was so fast, placed my order at 7.50pm and it was at my door at 8.10pm - as good as it gets. The sauces that come with the dish are very good and complement everything very well. No complaints, will order again.

First time trying Hainan Chicken and I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was very flavorful and not dry. The also not dry rice, soup, sauce and salad was very complimenting. The meal came in a great size I was able to eat it for leftovers later. For someone that does meal plans and need them delivered, like me, this is a great option!

For context: I'm born and raised in Singapore so I do think i know a thing or two about good hainanese chicken rice. Chicken: was very dry and not tender at all... barely passable. I ordered both the regular and double meat versions. They do actually give you a lot of meat for the double meat but for $18 it's only borderline worth it. You can buy a lot of food in the Alhambra area for $18. Rice: was average. flavor was decent. gave generous amounts of rice which was nice... but then again they're charging $12 for the regular and $18 for the double meat so it's pretty much expected. Sauces: were okay. Authentic hainan chicken rice has a thick dark soy sauce and theirs was very watery. The chilli sauce was on the creamier side which i didn't mind but still not authentic to actual hainan chicken rice. Garlic sauce was not bad. Overall i would say i was really disappointed after seeing it being rated 5 stars on yelp and definitely think there are much better options for hainanese chicken rice in the East LA area. Here's how i would rank the hainanese chicken rice restaurants in East LA: 1. Cluck2go (the best i've had so far) 2. Green Zone (they do a really commendable organic version of it) 3. Side Chick 4. NAKED CHIK 5. Savoy Kitchen (this place is just straight up blasphemy. they shouldn't even call it hainan chicken rice)

I've eaten Hainan Chicken Rice everywhere and Savoy was my number 1 until Naked Chik came along. Delivery only as of right now and can be ordered through Postmates or UberEATS. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. The rice was perfectly cooked and portion is generous. The pickled vegetables added a nice touch to the meal. The sauces are amazing! Really sets the tone for the dish. Definitely will order again soon
Naked Chik is a great concept and I hope they succeed​!​ I've had hainanese chicken at a lot of places and each place has their own unique spin. What I love about Naked Chik are their sauces. Really sets them apart​ from the rest. The rice was super flavorful. Don't let this deceptively simple dish fool you. A mark of a great hainanese chicken is the rice which is often cooked with chicken broth. The sauces were the standouts. I could have eaten the chili sauce by itself. I wished they'd given me a whole cup of this! And the ginger scallion​ sauce was up to par with the best versions I've had.

Delicious! Definitely better than savoy. I ordered naked Chik on uber eats and I got the order in 15 minutes. I've never received any ubereats order in less than 45 minutes. 15 minutes is super fast and the food was super fresh. Broth, sauces, chicken and rice all were delicious. Portion size was pretty big. I think it was about a quarter chicken.

My husband came back to OC after spending 3 days in LA for a conference, raving about this new place he found that only does delivery. Being a huge foodie, I was kind of irritated with him, with all the cool food places in LA, why would he waste an opportunity to grub by ordering DoorDash? He said he was exhausted after a long day of meetings and he couldn't pass up a chance to eat at a place called Naked Chik, what typical guy (insert eye roll emoji.) This weekend we went up to LA to visit friend's new baby. They didn't want to take the newborn out so I took this opportunity and suggested we order delivery and try this place. Shoutout to DoorDash, the driver was great! I accidentally gave the wrong address and the driver worked with me on getting the order to us without acting annoyed or extra charges. I ordered the Hainan Chicken and a side of the flavored egg. A previous reviewer said the portion was too small, she must normally eat lot in one sitting because the container I got was the perfect amount of food for one person. I was expecting just some chicken over rice and was pleasantly surprised that it also came with pickled veggies and cucumbers. It adds a yummy freshness. I am a total rice queen. I can eat rice all day long. This rice was so good, cooked perfectly with just enough seasoning that it didn't overpower the chicken. My husband said I was eating it "the wrong way" but I decided to mix the 3 sauces together and poured it all over the chicken and rice. I don't care what he says, it was delicious that way. I think a true testament to the food would be my two picky kids, not only eating up all their food, they even ate some of mine and my flavored egg! I can't give an honest opinion about the egg since I didn't get to eat it but according to them it was really good lol. I would definitely be finding more reasons to visit friends up in LA now so I can order some more Hainan chicken from Naked Chik, most likely order some extras so I can take it back to OC with me and have it for lunch the next day.

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! I'm originally from CA, but recently moved out of state, so when I come home to visit my immediate must do is to try new food, because the food in Missouri (where I moved to) is AWFUL. I've had Hainan chicken from the very delicious Savoy, and I really enjoy it there, but I thought it would be nice to give this place a shot especially because I'm 9mon pregnant and this place delivers. It's absolutely perfect! The serving size was just right for me, the chicken was juicy, the sauce was delicious, and the price was perfectly reasonable. My only regret is trying this place, because now I know how good it is and I can't have it again until I come back to CA to visit. P.S. You guys should totally open a location in St. Louis, MO.

Wow. Amazing Hainan Chicken. I like the dark meat hainan chicken. White meat has more meat than dark meat. But dark meat is more juicy.
