The venue felt down to earth and homey, a small business with a fully converted exterior space, outdoor kitchen, comfortable seating areas and even TVs to watch the game while you eat. The experience had live DJ and dancing, and the outdoor space was clean. The owner was nice and the staff was attentive, offering a complimentary water even when a drink was not ordered.
The food was delicious. The ribs was super good, the fried corn was great, and the garlic parm onion rings was recommended. The Fried Catfish and Shrimp combo plate was excellent, with fish perfectly flaky, shrimp insanely good, and a tasty mixture of seasonings perfect with hot sauce and fries. The shrimp & fish with salad and onion rings was seasoned, cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The dishes was garnished like a chef, the presentation looked like a chef’s work.
The service was excellent, the flavor only gets better each time, and the love in the dish could be tasted. Highly recommend this hidden gem, a soul food spot to explore. Visitors will definitely be back soon.
