We dined in Saturday night, 02/24. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The food came out quickly enough and it was soo delicious. From the appetizers, main dish and delightful naan. Good sized quantity and price. Our server was present, polite, and very knowledgeable of the menu. The ambiance was nice and clean, with classy decor. My biggest complaint was a lack of music. I could be biased, I love music everywhere I go. I do think it would've improved the ambiance that much more. Either way, highly recommend. We'll be going back.

Found this place on a whim, but it's definitely a great and affordable place for their lunch buffet. Had salad, entrees, and dessert section. Naan was tasty! Service was nice and the restaurant had a wonderful ambiance. Will be back!

My family and I really love this restaurant. The owners are a very nice and friendly family. The daily weekday buffet is great! It has several vegetarian alternatives (even including some tasty egg rolls!) and also meat, chicken and fish options. However, I am a peskiterian but won't eat the fish dish on this buffet because located right behind it, is a meat or chicken dish and as people spoon the meat to their plate, some of the meat sauce obviously drips and spills into the fish dish where the other sauce can be seen in the fish dish sauce as areas of a darker or different color! Please put the fish dish elsewhere so that this will not happen!Don't expect to have your empty beverage glass refilled without having to ask. That said, though I am still full from having lunch there, several hours ago, I can't wait to go back again!

A really good experience at this place, recommending everyone who is looking for some delicious indian (nizam) cuisine. Loved the customer service. Keep up the good work. And don't forget the indian Chai at the end. Cheers!

I was using the restaurant for the first time and I was not too sure what to expect . I previously went to Jaipur on Pico but their consistent rude & unfriendly attitude made me try Nizam . My order was to go .I ordered Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Tikka Masala , Samosas , Pakoras , Aloo Gobhi , ( 2 orders each ) ,rice and Garlic Naan .Everything was very very good , tasty and decent portions for the price . I do not understand how others criticized the food as nobody can cook one day excellent food and the other day v bad one .We and our guests loved it .The lady I placed the order with & picked it up from was extremely nice & friendly . I think you still find restaurants who have great food & excellent customer service .Definitely this would be our place for Indian food .I strongly recommend it.

Finally!! So hard to find an authentic, normal Indian restaurant around here for some reason… after 2 disappointing visits to different local Indian restaurants it’s nice to find another good one in this city. Kinda surprising how hard it is to find a good Indian restaurant in LA … this one makes me list of good Indian restaurants in LA though :)

For the past decade, I’ve been a loyal patron of Nizam Indian restaurant on Pico, and my fondness for this place only grows stronger. Whether it’s their delightful lunch buffet or a satisfying dinner, Nizam never disappoints. The hands-on involvement of the owners adds a personal touch to the dining experience. Their attention to detail reflects in the way they manage the tables and interact with guests. The cuisine at Nizam is a captivating blend of mild and unique flavors, making each visit a culinary adventure. I’ve never been a chicken eater myself, but my son can’t stop raving about their chicken dishes, and even my friends relish them. Nizam’s offerings strike a perfect balance, appealing to both Indian food enthusiasts and those new to the cuisine. It’s a gem that caters to diverse palates with its delicious and approachable Indian fare.

All I have to say is come and get you a feast here at Nizam's.The Royal Tandoori Feast is the bomb. You get a little taste of everything and damn its all good! The navaratan korma was the surprise hit and knocked my socks off flavor wise it beat everything else. the chicken shrimp and kebabs were all deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection. The skillet with sizzling onions added to the atmosphere. The service is efficient snd friendly. The decor is that of a casino restaurant from the 80s but in all honesty if they keep pumping out delicious food who cares where I'm eating it. Its not the swankiest place but if you're looking for some dang good Indian food Nizam has your back!!!

Lamb Korma, Fish Badami, Garlic Naan. The perfect trio (plus rice). I haven't had a fish badami anywhere else that's tasted as good.

Hey all. If you wanna eat Indian food, you’ll get anything but... We just had dinner here, and almost all cooked orders were as bland as Popeye’s spinach. In fact, If anyone knows what Indian food is like, I would know better, cause I’ve been there Kolkata for 11 years.More to the point, if I was blindfolded and wasn’t told what I was having, I wouldn’t have guessed I was having an Indian affair! The cauliflower (aka pakora), spinach (aka paneer palak) and lentil paste (aka dal) we ordered weren’t just bland as hell, but whatever they were like, they tasted something akin to Mexican. Well, I’d go for Mexican chile instead of their lentil paste. The skewered chicken breast (aka tikka chicken masala) was a little better but I couldn’t tell that it wasn’t middle eastern kabab. As a matter of fact, the same chicken kabab at nearby Zanko tastes a whole lot better. Then came the lamb biryani we ordered. I know biriyani, I make it at home, fragrant and rich with aroma. The biriyani here was more like instant pot rice and lamb. Again I couldn’t tell it was biriyani. My honest recommendation: If you wanna just fill your stomach, its ok here at Bland Central. But If you’re looking to taste Indian food, you’re in the wrong place.

Nizam or India has truly excellent food! Their samosas are among the best I have ever had! All of the food I have tried from this restaurant has been top notch. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!
