Let's keep it real: LA's halal scene isn't as stacked as the East Coast, so finding variety beyond the usual spots can be a challenge. But if you're in the mood for something fresh and family-friendly, Noya Kitchen in Koreatown is a total gem.
They nail the classics-think flavorful biryanis, rich chicken tikka masala, curries, and kababs that hit all the traditional South Asian notes. But what sets them apart is the fusion twist: killer halal fried chicken (seriously crispy, juicy, and some of the best in the city), juicy burgers, sandwiches, and even fried rice. It's perfect for mixed groups or families with picky eaters-kids (or anyone) tired of rice and curry can go for a crispy chicken sandwich or straight-up fried chicken instead. And who doesn't love some fire fried chicken?

I had to order from a Bangladeshi restaurant in order to eat some of the best fried chicken I have had in years. Crispy, juicy, not overly salty or seasoned, the skin was eaten without hesitation when I normally will remove it from other chicken places. Not dry! Had to stop myself when I got down to the bone. Fair pricing. Will order again.

Their standard is going down by each visit. They have changed it to self service with just 1 person working that too has no info. I asked her the difference between tikka and bihari and she didn't even mention that bihari is beef. This (picture) is the roll we got with almost no beef for $16. The few small pieces of beef present were also burnt and so bitter. Cheese burger was really thin petty that too wasn't cooked as i ordered it wel done. Wanted to give only 1 star but added one for the fried chicken. Another restaurant experience ruined. I remember the time when this used to be good

We ordered chicken biryani which was better good, the chicken was very tender, also had veggie curry the family enjoyed & I had the double cheeseburger which was good as well! Overall great experience here, also the staff and owner (Faisal) are very nice & respectful, definitely give them a try for great food. 1/16/2026

It’s a decent place overall. I wouldn’t call it great, but it’s definitely not bad either. It feels like one of those restaurants you’d visit once just to see what it’s like. A lot of the dishes seem to lean toward Indian cuisine, if I’m not mistaken. We tried a few items, and a friend of mine ordered the chicken sandwich — he said it was pretty good. Nothing to mention beyond this.
