What an underwhelming experience. Crowded. Dirty surfaces. Mediocre Korean shaved ice. The bustling shop had tables crammed together. Several people stood around holding their dessert as they waited for seats to open up. Our table was smeared with plenty of sticky substances, so we wiped down the table ourselves. The Mango Melon was big enough for 2+ people to share! The shaved ice barely tasted like mango. The side of condensed milk felt oddly thin and runny. Good honeydew melon balls though. Not worth $16. An extra $2 got us a small sauce cup of mochi - My favorite part of the entire dessert, sadly. Don't come with high expectations.

Loved the strawberry and melon! Perfect for sharing. Be wary that indoor seating is limited. Would come back again!

We got the black sesame and strawberry the single size and it was HUGE portion already. Has outdoor and indoor tables there's free parking around corner but also street metered parking. Self service kiosk and after it's not long before you get they have 5 machines to make the shaved ice. Each order comes w free condensed milk already on the side

Finally got to try Oakobing! Came here on a weekday afternoon and there were a fair amount of customers here. My friend and I tried the black sesame and melon single shaved ice. You order on an iPad, and they call your name when it's ready. The black sesame (which comes with tiny bite size mochi balls) was much more flavorful and both of our favorite. Melon has a much more subtle flavor so if you get it alongside a more flavorful item, I'd advise trying this one first. Both were pretty decent, just not really anything stand out or something that I'd come back to try more of. There also really isn't much of any ambiance to this tiny store, and we barely had any interaction with the staff. Glad I tried, but I feel there's a lot more interesting desserts in the neighborhood now.

Nice treat! Large snow cone, super smooth, melts in your mouth easy. Fresh fruit flavors. Small amount of seating outside and inside. Can be busy and a little bit of a wait.

Been here quite a few times, pretty solid, the flavors are great and the snow is nice and soft. It can get packed at times and can be a bit hard to get a table but they also have an area where you can stand and eat.

Oakobing is so delicious and it's so easy to share with groups and makes for an amazing late night dessert after being in KTown. The line is SUPER long though and you do have to wait a while and it is hard to find a spot. But the chatty ambiance makes up for it and there's outdoor seating! A really lively place to be.

Ordered tiramisu Oreo shaved ice and milkshake as well as their mango shaved ice. The tiramisu was a little all over the place flavor wise. No two bites are the same. The Oreo is just some chunks on the side, the coffee part is a shot they give in a separate container, and there's some coco powder on top and in the center so the taste is inconsistent. Would recommend it as a milkshake. The mango was incredible!!!!!! Highly recommend. Will be tying strawberry in the future. The shaved ice is very light so the mountain you get isn't as intense as it looks. Very excited to come back.

I think i set my expectations wayyy too high after seeing oakobing on instagram. Im not from LA so my excitement was beyond high when i anticipated eating this. Came on a Saturday night which was a mistake bc it was packed and we could not find parking anywhere. Decided to leave and come back sunday after lunch (much better). I love that you can order on a machine and take your time to customize. Got 2 personal size items, the mango melon and strawberry. It was good but I was hoping it would be fruitier/tart. It was more creamy/sweet. The mango melon was less sweet and had a more delicate light taste which I preferred. The strawberry tasted sweeter, heavier, and a bit more artificial. Im glad I had the chance to try it but prolly just not my type of dessert.

Finally tried a different flavor Mango Melon. Comes in half a melon. It's good. You will want to add the milk to it to enhance the flavor. My favorite is still injeolmi. I still prefer getting a regular size vs single serving.

A typical condensed-milk based bingsoo place. Strawberry bingsoo tasted great! I would try other flavors though.
