Tuna (cactus) ice cream was very tasty and fruity
Horchata was also good and not too sweet, although i would have preferred a stronger rice flavor

Amazing food. Just eating in Mexico. Fresh tortillas, and mole. The black beans have avocado leaves, Unique to Oaxacan cooking. The grasshoppers were only $7 for a bag. Definitely coming back with my folks.

Amazing agua frescas, I took a mix of soursop and horchata and it was delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice is just as good. The food is good, took the Taco de chile relleno and it was decently filling and spicy. The service is excellent, so friendly and they're very happy to let you try some juices to help you decide. I highly recommend the place.

Oaxacali is located in the Mercado la Paloma in downtown LA. It serves oaxacan themed dishes. I had the tamale Oaxaceña and the café de olla. It was delicious and very similar to the tamales and café I had in the Mercado 20 de Noviembre in Oaxaca. My wife had the memelitas sampler and that was also amazing. Next time I will try the tlayuda which is a signature oaxacan dish.

The service was great which is why I’m giving it some stars. However, the food was completely bland. Maybe if you just want healthy food, this might work, but not if you’re looking tasty food. The only flavor I tasted was from the avocado. Paid about $45 for two plates. Also, it’s a very small amount of meat for the price. The rest was just a tortilla with cheese and beans.
