This old-school steakhouse has a vintage train-car feel. I ordered the ribeye, and it was cooked perfectly. The service was classic, with waiters in suits. Prices are high, but it’s a special occasion kind of place. A true piece of LA dining history.
Was an LA Icon in itself. And to be able to get fine dining steak and classic sides with an old fashioned at midnight inside a traditional white napkin train car was mind blowing when I first experienced it. Who ever bought the assets please 🙏 bring it back as a restaurant or bar with bites. You don’t have to be open 24/7 - I get that’s $$$ and unsafe nowadays. Architectually Historic LA Eateries lost due to pandemic: 😭

I recently dined at the Pacific Dining Car Steakhouse and was impressed with the quality of their steaks. The meat was cooked to perfection and had a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, with its elegant and inviting atmosphere. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I would definitely return for another delicious steak dinner.
