Paik's Noodle - Hong Kong Banjum

Wife makes fun of me for getting rice at a noodle place, but I kid you not, the shrimp fried rice is TOP TIER. The fact that it comes with jjajang is a nice bonus, but just the rice itself is deserving of 5 stars. Reminds me of the yang chow fried rice I had growing up in China.

Of course, their jjajangmyeon is also great.

Went here for lunch and we got seated right away. We parked at my friend's place because in koreatown it is difficult to find parking. I did not know what to order because everything on the menu looked good. I ended up ordering the chili noodles and I did not expect it to be so spicy. Most places say its spicy and it is not spicy. I can handle spicy, but this spice I was wiping my nose constantly. The stir fried noodles that my son got were delicious. I will definitely be back to try out other dishes. The lady that helped us was nice and friendly so this was a plus.

The jajangmyeon was okay, not great but not bad either. Im comparing it to other jajangmyeon places in LA. The noodles were bigger and they were a bit overcooked making it less chewy. The black bean sauce has flavor but was very oily. I was surprised because I know how popular this place is so went in with higher expectations.

Food was good and very flavor full. It is self serve so just be prepared. Ordering is easy and the food comes out fast n hot. They do charge for to go containers but understandable since everything has gone up they need adjust with increase cost.

Great Korean fusion food! Went here because wait line next door was too long.
And very happy about this decision - the flavor is great! Jajangmeyon with meat was my favorite. Service is super fast too!

I had Paiks elsewhere and loved them. This location in KTown was great too. They’re famous for the jjajang dishes - jjajangmyeon and jjajang fried rice were very good. The sauce was as good as always and the fried egg was the best! The seafood soup is very spicy. Service was very nice. Parking was valet for $4.
