As far as I could tell, clean. They overcharge, like others have mentioned. They don't want to provide with recipe; so they claim that is the internet fault. If you are able to get a recite, redo the math. Pricey before the shenanigans. Very deceitful. The hamburger meat starts to taste fishy after it cools down. Looks nice, though.

I love a good cafeteria and this ain't it. Food is dull to unpleasant, and the staff is annoyed but I give them a break because the work with lawyers . But it's all about the view! Being your food up and enjoy it -+ but before 12 and after 130 pm when the courts close for lunch and the place is swamped

The cafeteria is a standard food hall with lots of seating and tables.

The main reason I go here is because of their Cali Cob salad is phenomenal. As a person that has tried lots of high end salads at other establishments, this salad is one of the best cobs I’ve ever had.

Almost as great as Joey’s in DTLA. The vegetables are very fresh, the dressing is excellent. I love that it has a lot of chicken pieces that are delicious and egg along with bacon pieces. It’s a solid salad for the price and one of my favorite salads of all time. I highly recommend it.

I will definitely come back to eat that salad & I’ll continue to try their other menu items.

The view isn't even that great! This is like a school cafeteria for the courthouse. Chairs and tables are hard plastic and metal. No decoration, but the view is ok, if the door isn't broken. Also, you have to go through the security of the courthouse, so no lighters, matches, cigar cutters or anything dangerous and illegal. Paper plates, plastic silverware and food trays.

Come for the atmosphere, but make sure to check your bill at the register before you pay.

So I came in the morning, kind of early.

The menu price said one thing, but my bill at the register was a good 40% higher. Why?

I don't know if the cash register person rang me up wrong, or didn't know how to correctly put my menu item into the system.

The breakfast burrito on the menu is $6.99. When he rang me up, he said it was $10.99. So I pointed out the menu to him, and all the options that were available, and then asked him why my particular choice was $4 more expensive.

I honestly feel like he just didn't know how to correctly input the item into the system. Maybe he was trying to do the burrito, and then add in an extra add-in item?

Anyways, a quick talk with the manager, and things got straightened out.

The food is okay. The breakfast burrito that I ordered was hash browns, probably 1.5 eggs, and a meat protein.
Nothing fancy, nothing special. You could tell the hash browns were the kind that were probably the frozen ones.
The burrito had No taste, no salt, no flavor.

If that's your thing, go for it. They did offer red or green salsa on the side which I turned down. I just wanted to know how the burrito tasted on its own... which was bland.

It's a small size. Probably made from a 10inch or 12-inch flour tortilla.
It's smaller than a 1 dollar bill.
It's not the big huge giant burritos that you get from the food trucks out on the street that have more and more and more of everything... but cost twice as much.

So in essence, you have to decide what's within your budget, and how hungry you actually are.

The View and the atmosphere are what bring people up here! You can't beat that view of Grand Central park, City Hall, etc.

In summary, I'd say I do want to give this place another try if I'm in the area, and see what the lunch menu is like.

Overall, the prices seem fair for what you're getting. Nothing outrageously expensive.

Parking? Good luck. There is no street parking around the area. You'll have to use the underground parking structure for the courthouse, which is astronomically expensive in my opinion.

I would say if you're in the area, and you're within walking distance, this might be a cheap, and expensive option for lunch.

I came there for lunch one day while on recess from Jury Duty. It's one of the closer place's that are in the area. They do have a pretty big menu like a restaurant and food that's already there made like all cafeteria's, so you don't have to wait for your order to be made.

The best part of Panorama Cafe is the views. You can see dodger stadium, the new sixth street bridge, and the skyline of downtown.Go during off hours—not right at noon to avoid long lines. Another plus is that you can order ahead of time and pick up. Note when you do order ahead that you can go to the kitchen window behind the cashier area and you don’t need to wait in the (often long) cafeteria area line.I’ve tried the teriyaki chicken plate which was surprisingly good, the burgers are decent but tend to get soggy under the hot lamp if you order ahead. I just had the breakfast quesadilla and it was delicious. I also noticed pre made breakfast burritos under a lamp ready to grab and go. From my experiences the staff there have always been very polite and efficient. If you’re at the civic center, this is the best cafeteria in comparison to KHOA and the cathedral.

Large selection at breakfast, including vegetarian, good prices and great views of the Walt Disney Concert Hall and downtown. You have to go through the courthouse and go to the 9th floor, it's not that easy to find.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian burritos, pancakes etc.

I read a comment about this place cost of under <$10, ?? What a joke! First of all, it is very expensive for a Hamburger and a soda and chips cost me $19. Overpriced. Second, the quality of the food is terrible. The hamburger meat was fatty and not fresh. The second time I ate I got the Chicken fajitas plate. The chicken had no taste to chicken and the vegetables were raw not cooked. This place food is too expensive, not good quality and you’ll never want to eat there again. The only good thing is the view but when it is hot or cold you don’t even want to come out. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. The owner takes advantage just because it is the only close place to eat at the court house BUT you better off by taking some food from outside when you have jury duty or visiting. This place is a rip off to people.

They do have a pretty big menu like a restaurant and food that's already there made like all cafeteria's, so you don't have to wait for your order to be made.I got a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was the thinnest slice of meat possible not worth the 12-13 dollar's it was. And they don't put ketchup on it in the kitchen so you have to get ketchup packets and do it yourself.Pretty good view from up there although and the dinning room is fairly big. And you get a nice breeze which is good after being in a Courtroom for hour's.
