Came for the burger and was pretty disappointed. It’s been hailed as one of the better burgers in LA - maybe the kitchen was off on a Saturday afternoon, but it was average enough I won’t aim to come back any time soon.

I recommend the unique and tasty hot pretzels to start. They come with a hot and mildly spicy queso and a mustard dip. The truffle burger was delicious and I liked their fries. Nice atmosphere and outdoor dining is an option.

This had been my first time visiting Plan Check Kitchen in a few years. I noticed a lot had changed. We visited for a Saturday brunch. Surprisingly, there had only been about five people in the restaurant , with us being the only ones dining outdoors. It did start to pick up as we were leaving.

Food and Beverage: Plan Check offers an unlimited Mimosa brunch. If you plan on having more than one Mimosa during your visit, I would suggest going with this option. It’ll be much more cost efficient.

In my opinion, the food wasn’t as tasty as my past experiences. We started off with the buffalo cauliflower. This is a great vegan option. It’ll taste even better with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Although the waffles were appetizing, they weren’t soft. However, for some, that might be a good thing. The chicken was much better. The French toast was the least tasteful. It was bland and the bananas that they were topped with had no flavor.

Billing: Like most restaurants, Plan Check uses the handheld device to take payment.

Overall, this is still a good eatery. I preferred the location on Wilshire that closed years ago, but this one isn’t too far behind in regard to service and indoor ambience. This is a place that you can visit while casually catching up with friends or a quick bite with coworkers.

Smokey fried chicken is like that original KFC but fried in tallow (that means amazing lol)

Loved the onion rings with ranch & bbq
Beast fries are good but the onions could be more carmelized

My friend and I were visiting from Canada for a vacation and I really wanted to try their PCB (Plan Check Burger.) during our stay, which was really great! We visited on the 15th of June around the early afternoon. My friend got the chicken and waffles and it did not disappoint at all, absolutely wonderful. The reason I gave a low review is because of our server, Michelle, who was rude even before we ordered our food. I am not sure if this is generally how restaurants are in the USA or it’s just particularly Los Angeles, but upon being seated, she stood there and looked at us with this disappointed look for some reason, without even introducing herself. Most restaurants we visited always asked us if we wanted a drink first but I had to ask after ordering, because we weren’t even offered anything! When we were done, we were given the receipt which was all together, so we asked another server who might’ve been a manager, to split the bill. We were told by him to go inside so she could do it and when we got there, she started tripping out, wondering why we came in to do it and that “I could’ve done it outside when you were done eating”. She came to our table once, asking how the food once but never came back again if we wanted anything else like a refill on drinks or more napkins. There was also this noticeable condescending attitude when we were paying, such as asking the receipt or even asking about the menu. It appears that this restaurant is known for their bad service but that sort of threw our off. We hope that next time it would be a better experience but great food nonetheless.

Came here for the burger since I moved in the area and read it was supposedly good. My expectations were lowered when the person I sat to next at the bar mentioned this used to be her favorite years ago, but was sorely disappointed.

Pretty mediocre. Definitely not worth the price. Think it was almost $50 for a burger, fries, and a beer for one person. Haven’t been back nor plan to go back

Had to stop here on my way home. Burgers are amazing. So much so, I went to a spot known for their burgers the following week in my hometown and was disappointed. I felt like slapping the cook for a terrible job while here I wanted to slap the cooks momma for teaching to cook like that. And the drink I had; my goodness. The PC Penicillin is a work of art.

This place used to be good back in 2015 so I came back recently to try it again. What a disappointment.The chicken was dry, the waffles were soggy. The burger was just ok. And everything is overpriced too. Definitely not worth coming back to again
