Love precinct, the food and drinks are amazing and always a good time with my friends!
I love this bar but on a night like VPL it felt very understaffed. A full club but only three bartenders. I understand maybe scheduling issues came up but the lines to get drinks were way too long. I had to wait 20 minutes to get a drink.
My favorite bar to go to in downtown LA. An incredibly inclusive environment, and a broad range of events catering to different crowds. Also their chicken tenders are the best I've ever had.
The worst gay bar in LA. Don’t waste your time here. Very rude bartenders and staff. It smells horrible. Then you wonder why places close down.
This is my home, please leave.🫀

My fav gay bar in LA! Always an event going on! Very inclusive and have made so many friends! Best parties are fat slut, bearracuda, Howl, Ckub Chub, Tuesicals! You can never go wrong! It’s become a local bar, bartenders know us, always friendly, always good food!

They need more bartenders. It’s a fun place to be but sometimes it just takes too long to get a cocktail

I got verbally and physically attacked at this bar while minding my own business by a group of 6 people, one of them being an employee and the bar staff refuses to handle the situation. This is not a safe place for our community.
Overall, great place! I have gone there several times and I have found that most of their employees are awesome. In one occasion, my friend was super drunk and kept spilling her drinks on the floor (I know, we were trying to get her out and take her home cuz she was done for the night) and although the staff could (and rightfully so) have been mad at us, they just helped out and were still nice. I have had some experiences where some of their bar tenders are rid for no reason (like when one of my friends complemented one of the bar tenders on his shirt and he made a face at her and snarky turned around and stopped taking tending to us. BUT in the same scenario, another bar tender that was there saw the interaction and immediately stepped in to take our drink orders and was super friendly). We’ve had a few other interactions like this with other staff, but they are usually far outshined by the other employees who truly make it a place I want to come back to.
I would caution, I know some people who have gotten roofied here. I don’t think this is the fault of the business though (although I know that measures need to be taken by club owners in general, I also understand that there is only so much that clubs can do). This is just something we all need to be aware of in any club we go to as a general safety practice.

DO NOT PAY IN CASH. I paid in cash recently for a drink and was not provided a receipt or my change. It sucks that we have to deal with such thievery in our own community. It’s safer to pay with card, and even then I recommend asking for drink prices before you pay so you know if something is off.
There’s a specific Caucasian bald bartender who is unapologetically a thief and will not provide receipts for cash transactions and will deny accountability when confronted. I was going to tip him too but never received the change to do so, so I hope this bar changes their protocols for cash handling moving forward.
EDIT - So I guess the owner loves to lie because I never spoke with a manager. Only the bartender. I know what cash I pulled up with, and yall can keep your story however you want. Facts are the bartender took my 20 and never came back with my change never gave me a chance to even ask for the receipt. By the way the owner speaks to their patrons, and is willingly able to lie and make such a long response to a small issue like mine proves that they do not care for there patrons. You believe it’s a 10, I believe it’s a 20. Okay that’s fine we can disagree, but to lie about what happened is ridiculous. I never spoke to manager, no one checked cameras with me there, and no one spent a long time explaining anything to me (it was literally a 5 minute dispute). Sorry Jeremy, you just suck at managing this bar.

Usually the best gay bar in Los Angeles. What I loved about it was the oneness that didn't marginalize anyone. The casual overcharging that has become more common makes me wonder if old geezers are still welcome.

Great space, but bad experience. I was watching the drag show last night when I suddenly began to faint and get cold sweats. I grabbed the pole next to me but my vision completely left, and I knew I needed to sit down. Every couple steps I started to faint again, but I eventually made it to the closest bar and sat on the ground to regain consciousness and signal I needed help. I was scared. I tried to explain to several people I needed help, i wasn’t ok, I was fainting and needed water, but by the time someone actually gave it to me, I was dripping sweat, overheated and felt nauseous. I was told that I couldn’t be near the bar getting sick, which, even though this was a medical issue, I somewhat get. (Although if I needed water, then got sick from not getting it, I’m not sure what I could’ve done differently). But there was no winning because I asked repeatedly for a trash bag so I could move away from the bar to somewhere cooler and more appropriate without making a mess, but they would only hand me the bar trash can, while yelling at me that I couldn’t get sick there. The next move was swiftly kicking me out of the bar. I guess when I explained I was having fainting episodes, they chose to believe I was probably just blackout drunk ( I only had 2 drinks all night). While being forcedly escorted out of the bar, half-fainting, ears ringing, I was being yelled conflicting things by the strange men around me (pick your head up, don’t get sick right now, it’s okay to be sick right now, you can’t be acting like this, this is inappropriate behavior). When I got outside, when I tell you it was like night and day, it’s like I was never sick. Lowering my body temperature by going somewhere cooler and getting some water helped me instantly. All I needed the whole time was for someone to listen to me. Instead I was written off as belligerent before I had a fighting chance and kicked out like an animal when I needed help. I see what they mean when they say females aren’t believed at hospitals. The bar staff was much more concerned about getting rid of me than listening to me and helping me in a medical emergency. This is a form of cruelty. I hope they can learn from this so no other human gets treated like a subhuman when they genuinely need help. We’re all very lucky I didn’t fully faint and hit my head while I was being forced out.
Precinct is my favorite queer bar in Los Angeles. I’d say it is the most inclusive and diverse spaces in the area. They have a bunch of curated events that cater to different members of the community. My only complaint would be the cash-only cover. There is an ATM for convenience, but I’d prefer to not have to do that. Eclectic go-go dancers, good music, sufficient number of bartenders, and better-than-average quality bar food. Precinct really has it all.
