Excellent food, the lamb ribs, mac and cheese, were excellent, corn bread was made with pancake mix. Hush puppies were average. Oyster po'boy good but loaded with dijon mustard naking it too salty. WHAT, no coffee with dessert!!! Service: Average, nothing special. Waiter not too knowledgeable about food. Atmosphere: Loud and crowded, if that om with you. Price: $40 for an appetizer and one drink pp.

I absolutely love this place and very sad to see it closed. Loved the staff, the food, the drinks, music and ambience.

Raul and Luis were amazing!!! They have an adorable patio, and were very covid safe. I had the chicken kabob with saffron rice and was SO GOOD, and my friend had the steak special which was also great! Highly recommend!

This place has lovely ambiance and pretty good food. We stopped in on our way back from Universal City Walk, looking for a romantic spot for a casual anniversary celebration. The Six was pretty perfect for that.

We went last night and had a better then expected time. We were seated on the patio and to our surprise there was live entertainment. A trio singing. !! Ali was the bomb!

What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I knew Meet in Preux & Proper so we went there for lunch. I ordered their Omelette Preux & Proper was very good and is served all day. Service was great. Everyone was very attentive, but the interior of the restaurant was so small. I suggest sitting outside. Their Preux & Proper and latte are amazing as well.

Pleasant find on our CicLAvia route. Husband and I shared a combo, which is 2 sliders and a side of fries for $14. Mind you, this isn't your normal LA slider. These are full sandwiches. So, do the math -- 2 full sandwiches and a side of fries -- all for less than one sandwich at Preux & Proper.

I'm very sad to see this place go, and even though no one's probably going to read this review anymore, I feel like I owe it to myself to write about how much I liked eating here. Service was always really nice here, they are very accommodating even when I had my pup with me. Music was really loud in here though, but we didn't have too much trouble hearing the waitress or each other. They have a couple different menus, and honestly I got confused with which day can I order from which menu, but regardless, from fried game hen to catfish to poutine, I have liked every single dish I've ever had from this restaurant. The dungeness crab hushpuppies stole my heart for sure! While I did not enjoy South City Fried chicken from the team behind Preux & Proper, this has been one of the best Southern cuisine restaurants I've ever been to, better than some that I've been in New Orleans! I wish them the best of luck in the future, and I look forward to trying more of their creations!

I absolutely love this place. Yes their lines are ridiculously long but like everyone says, the wait is soooo worth it. If you don't think you'd actually wait in line for more than 1 hour for hot chicken, you haven't tried this place. Been coming here for over a year and it just gets better and better.

The first time I came, it was because of all the good reviews. This restaurant does not let you down! I've been at both of their locations and both times I have been lucky not to wait in line. Great place to drop in for lunch or dinner. Great seasoned fries and very hot chicken. Seriously the chicken does not get cold it is very hot and juicy. Medium spice is the perfect amount for my tastebuds so I don't cry. Hot was pretty

I had the 2 sliders with fries and it was pretty goood! Definitely very filling! If you're around the area it's worth trying. It can get quite busy though soooo don't be surprised if there's a line

I know P&P is closed now and when I read the news on Eater, I was pretty bummed out since they did such a great job of taking care of us when we went back in January. First of all, if you judged this place by its name, you would be wrong. Yes, they hold themselves to a high standard but no, they weren't snobby at all. The wait staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about every item on the menu and made great recommendations for us. The location of the restaurant was interesting, it was literally in a corner of the street which I have to say added to the appeal and uniqueness of the experience. We went on the last week of dineLA and out of all the pre-fixe menus in downtown LA, we felt they had the best but also because it came with a glass of vino. We started off with hushpuppies and it came with this amazing maple butter that blew my mind. The burrata was also good but I wasn't a fan of the hard bacon pieces. The best dish of the night by far was the sonoma county duck breast. Perhaps the best duck dish I've ever had. It was served on a bed of grits, roasted kale and topped with micro greens and a berry sauce. You know when a dish was prepared with a lot of thought when the last bite is just as good as the first. Afterwards, for dessert, we had their banana foster beignets and warm apple pie-like dessert ( can't remember the name). Both were equally delicious. Sad to see Preux and Proper go but the memory of good food and the wonderful experience never goes away. I wish the owners and chefs the best of luck on their future endeavours.
