Warning, mouth explosion of warm, soft cake, delectable donuts upon entering this establishment. This place may house the best doughnuts in the world. When I arrived they told me they are known for their glazed buttermilk bar-shaped doughnut. Their selection is comprised of the bar shaped and cake doughnuts. They do not make yeast doughnut (aka the glazed airy & fluffy type). I raised a brow to that, but ok let's see what they were all about. I got their glazed buttermilk bar-shaped doughnut, glazed cake, a crumb cake, and Mrs. Primo threw in a vanilla raised sprinkle for good measure (thank you Mrs.Primo ). Yes, their glazed buttermilk bar-shaped doughnut is great, but for me the starts are their cake doughnuts. Oh my God, how do I describe them? They are the lightest, not overly sweet, melt in your mouth cake doughnuts that hug you the moment you taste them. I was AMAZED! So delicious . This is a guilty please you must travel for if need be because few things in life taste this spectacular. Wow! Please put this place on your bucket list. As for the shop it has a classic feel, clean and inviting. You can tell it's been there since 1956 making exceptional baking goods. Thank you Primos Donuts. You really are the best. !

I ordered 6 maple bars and 6 glazed donuts Do not believe the reviews. They say best glazed donuts in LA!! Joke! Randy's, Sidecar and D's donuts way way better! Don't waste your money here. Garbage. They charged me $31.50 a dozen! And 5.90 for 1 chocolate donut and 1 glaze The donuts were cake like not airy like a glaze should be and the taste was gross. I usually get great donuts in Santa Monica and Culver City for a lot less money!!! Wow. Ripoff.

So, Primo's Donuts are literally a mile from my house and I have never ever tried any of their products UNTIL an hour and a half ago. My bff Merilee was shocked that I have never eaten their offerings...tbh, I am not a DONUT girl unless it's a New Yawk Jelly Donut... oh that brings back childhood memories. I digress. Anyway, what they do have that I love are Apple Fritters... these fritters blew me away and I don't have enough words to describe their delicious, sugary and apple mixture taste. You all have to taste them yourselves! Sooo good. And mine was still warm. A neighborhood icon that has been here since the 1950s... a westside landmark! My community! Plenty of parking. They close at 3p but are open at 6a. A must! And I will definitely be baack!

Parking is crazy here and also price is no different than Winchells not so far from here. The wait time took longer than anticipated for 2 regular donuts. Great for locals but won't make the trip here again

Went for the vegan donuts they only had one left and it was tasteless. It was supposed to be cherry flavored but tasted nothing of cherry and just like plain dough. I was glad they only had one I would have been super disappointed if I had paid for the dozen.
