This is a great little German pub. I liked the potatoes. The pretzel with cheese and mustard was very good. It was refreshing to have a giant pretzel with a cheese other than beer cheese and it was very tasty. I enjoyed their sides of the German style pasta. That was very tasty. This is a great place to get your favorite encased meat such as a sausage. The sausage was extremely juicy. Keep that in mind as you’re cutting into it so it doesn’t spray your wife in the face. I will say that the flies on the back porch were an unwelcome guest that did make us want to leave a little sooner however, this is a cute little spot and I would come back.

Growing up with Hungarian family we have similar dishes. I was stoked.
The food was outstanding.
It took quite a long time for a server to come to us after seating.
When he did it was below average service.

Food was ok for a German. They didn't want to serve us anymore because it was already 20 minutes before the kitchen closed.

Tasty food, plentiful beer, and an accordian! I think they should have the accordian (and potentially a full polka band) more frequently

Good food, good beers—loved it. We had sausages and chicken. Side dishes were tasty.
We liked the “Last person standing holding a 1 ltr Jug” competition though we didn’t participate.
The service, however, felt rushed. The server, though polite, didn’t return to table to check if we wanted more beer or food, and removed my beer glass before it was completely empty. When we pointed it out, they claimed the glasses were empty. We didn’t argue, but it would have been nice if they asked before taking it away - an order of new beer doesn’t mean the old glass should be removed before it is completely emptied.
For us it’s a 4.5 star.

As Germans we can highly recommend it. Good price-performance ratio. Food is close to the original.

Every item on the menu is tasty and well prepared! This is my neighborhood spot. The staff have nearly all been working there for years and are very friendly.

This is quite possibly the best spot for German food in Los Angeles.
The pretzels are warm crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They are absolutely what you want in a Bavarian pretzel.
The schnitzel is absolutely fantastic and tender. And had great flavor(both pork and veal).
The schnitzel comes with two sides and it's hard to make a bad choice.
The fries are very good but somehow my least favorite.
The oven roasted potatoes are wonderful along with the brussel sprouts. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots.
