They don't usually have enough people working to run this location when it's busy so service tends to be slow, but the food is fantastic

Such a hidden side-street gem. The perfect spot for a great pint and some proper German classics.
The service is always super friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and hits the spot.

We usually come for the pretzels, the sausage stuffed with cheese (Käsekrainer), and the cheesy noodles (Käsespätzle) - all so good and exactly what you want with a cold beer.

Definitely one of our favorite cozy spots in the area.

We had dinner and beers, with small children in tow, two days in a row during a weekend stay in Mar Vista. The schnitzel is fantastic. Service is superb and kindness abounds.

Looking for something “different” to eat and to avoid the Valentine’s Day crowds, a group of 4 of us came to Rasselbock for dinner. Great choice! We had the flight of beers which was fun even though I didn’t catch any of the names! We shared a warm pretzel and an aptly named Dude Salad which is no salad at all- it’s fries garnished with finely chopped greek salad ingredients. Yum! We ordered a chicken schnitzel, wurst, and even a vegan schnitzel for myself which was surprisingly delicious! There were quite a few vegetarian and vegan options. There’s street side seating, indoor seating and a patio seating in the back where dogs are welcome. They even have a menu for our furry friends! I imagine this would be a fun place to catch a game or for trivia night on Wednesdays. I like the casual vibe and most of all, the staff who are diligent, hard working and super chill with answering our many questions. I’ll be adding Rasselbock to my normal rotation.

We are a family of 3 and went there during our vacation in Munich, we really enjoyed the restaurant vibe and definitely the food, we went with some traditional dishes like the pork elbow and the beef tartar, loved it, definitely recommend the place.
