Fun place to duck into before a show at the Pantages for a good cocktail and a bite. Enjoyed a variety of sushi to pair with our drinks. If sushi isn't your thing, there is a full menu of options on the reverse menu including short ribs, pasta and such. Ambience is spacious with two floors, outdoor patio seating protected from the busy street and an open bar. Can order food at the bar if a table is not available. Service is efficient and friendly. Reservations recommended.

Disappointing. Caesar salad lacked dressing and flavor. Tempura was mostly broccolini and two carrots on a big bed of fries. No tempura sauce was served. Had to ask for wasabi and ginger. Branzino fish was boring - no flavor. No hot sake - only cold.

There's a huge variety for food and drinks. Restaurant is beautiful and the staff is awesome.

The cauliflower steak is my go to at RDen - it should be called a mountain of cauliflower and not listed with the beef steaks. The seasoning with pepitas and chimichurri sauce bring it all together. Beet salad is decent but should cut up the beets to bite size. Hummus is also good but don't supply enough to spread the hummus on to eat it. Seating was terrible - many good open tables but was seated at the door in what seemed like diner seating - I thought I should be ordering a 2-2-2 breakfast with eggs, pancakes and bacon. The music was so loud couldn't carry a conversation. Better dining options near by.

It's got potential and I'd love to come back. I came here for a late night libation and light meal after a great production of Chicago at the Pantages, right across the street. I would highly recommend pre or post show. I was intrigued by the Japanese- steakhouse fusion menu. But it was a bit peculiar that it was quite empty for a Friday night. The space is really nice with a generally modern decor and suave lounge music. There's also a nice back patio. For any fungus lovers among us, the miso mushroom soup was very satisfying and perfectly earthy. I also had the mac&cheese which was quite respectable but could have used some texture with some panko. The cocktail menu is impressive and creative - my Osaka martini was very sharp with a gin that waxed a bit too botanical for me, but I expect would please other gin lovers. The one star deduction was for service- friendly enough but could have been more attentive. It's Hollywood so plan for parking accordingly.

I saw and read great things about this place! Planned a special double date with my best friends and wanted the food to be spectacular. There is valet in the front so that helps out because Hollywood Blvd is a busy street! We got seated upstairs by the window and had a nice view. They have two separate kitchens with two menus (on opposite sides of the menu). We were confused at that part. The drinks were delicious! The Walk of Fame was amazing!! Loved it. The price wasn't too bad on it either. We started with Caesar salad and beet salad. The Caesar wasn't anything special. It definitely wasn't worth $14. The beet salad was okay. We got spicy edamame which was pretty good. We got a bunch of sushi rolls and also a hamachi carpaccio! The yellowtail was fresh and delicious!! The service was lacking. We even got brought a different sushi roll that we didn't order and the server ended up taking it back .. even though we almost grabbed a piece. He said he had to give it to another table. It doesn't seem sanitary that you're taking a dish from one table to another. All in all , it was a nice dinner but nothing spectacular.

A nice, upscale spot for pre-theater dining in the former site of Wood & Vine. The food was quite good (sushi is an option) and the service was attentive (on a Wednesday night). As Pantages subscribers, we'll definitely be back.

Went to this restaurant a few weeks ago kinda by mistake. lol I was going to see the musical the Wiz at the theater across the street and was early so I stoped in just to have a glass of wine. The bartender was really nice while I was waiting and then performance to tell me about the menu. I wasn’t hungry but it sound really good! After the performance I decided to come back with a few friends just for a drink but then decided to get little bits to eat …the kitchen was closing but they stayed open until we ordered all of our food. They were happy to do so and didn’t make us feel rushed. My favorite thing is customer service so this was everything to me. The bartenders were all super nice I loved everything about the place. Definitely going back for a date night!

My husband & I had another extraordinary meal at RDEN. This was our 2nd visit before attending a performance at the Pantages, which is just across the street. The beet salad was wonderful. And the short ribs were perfectly tender & absolutely delicious. Chef Noe certainly knows what he is doing! Our server, Christina D., w/ her welcoming smile, was professional & friendly. She made sure that we were comfortable, & that all of our food & drinks were served promptly. She even took the time to take a few photos for us. All of RDEN's servers & busboys appear to work hard to quickly accommodate all of RDEN's guests. The outdoor patio is inviting & comfortable, w/ outdoor heaters to take away any chill. Hollywood diners are certainly the fortunate recipients of this wonderful new restaurant.

Our first time at this location. We visit the Pantages Theater between 6-8 times a year for shows. Outside of the Japanese restaurant on the west corner, we haven't found a pre show dining option that fits our needs. We had high hopes for RDEN. We are pleased to announce we have found a close option that provides a memorable experience. First off our server Cristina D ( it's on the receipt) was great. Good personality, good comedic timing and menu smart. Our meal 1- California Roll, 1- Caesar Salad, 1 Hamburger, 1-16oz. New York Steak and an order of mashed potatoes. 1- Modelo and 1- glass of Justin Cabernet Sauvignon. Out the door including gratuity $198. They understand the need for speed with the theater crowd. They even allow you to take your "doggie bag" home after the show. They will hold it for you. We will happily return.

The restaurant is beautiful inside!! I've been here twice before shows at the Pantages and I enjoyed both times very much. The cocktails are very good and unique. The food is delicious and the cheesecake was to die for!! They also have this amazing service for your leftovers. You can leave them at the restaurant and pick them up after your show is over. It was so convenient.

We had another amazing dinner at RDEN Bar & Restaurant. Our beet salad was wonderful, & the short ribs (our favorite) were amazingly tender & delicious. Chef Noe creates incredible dishes. Our welcoming server, Christina D., was professional & friendly; always making sure that we were comfortable, & that food was served promptly. As busy as she was, w/ all of her customers, she even managed to take a few photos of us. This high-end, but affordable restaurant is a welcome & much-needed addition to the Hollywood area. And its proximity to the Pantages is another plus.

My party was seated right away and they allowed us to change our assigned seating. Our server Ryan was polite, personable, professional and attentive. He took our drink order and he also made several food recommendations. We eventually ordered the Hibiscus Margarita and Old Fashioned. Both drinks were excellent and we were able to watch them being made from the upstairs dining room. For dinner, we ordered the seafood pasta, the Branzino and a side of asparagus. Both dishes were EXCELLENT, a 10/10. Overall, I was pleased with the service, the food and the ambience. I will definitely be back to dine at RDEN.

The exceptional service from our waitress is what put this over the top. The sushi was really good although it is a little bit pricey, and the convenience to the Pantages definitely wins points. But again Service was the deciding factor. Would definitely come back.
