It's never a dull time at Red Bird. Best Restaurant in Los Angeles since they opened. But y'all messed up by taking the Gemeli off the menu. That's the best thing!!

A beautiful space in a wonderful historical building with gorgeous architecture. There were 4 of us on a fun double date night and the food was delicious and the service impeccable. The chef sent out Shishito peppers and the Parker House rolls - YUM! (and all of us were eyeing that last roll.) I am an appetizer grazer so, for my entree I had the avocado salad and grilled prawns - so good! The fellas had the John Dory and my friend had the Pappardelle. All plates were eaten CLEAN! We indulged in dessert, the fellas both enjoying the Rum Raisin Ice Cream. I had the Mandarin sorbet and my friend had the cranberry sorbet. All dee-lish!

I highly recommend Redbird for dates, friendship dinners or drinks in the lounge or at the bar. You will not be disappointed!

From the moment we arrived we knew this was a special place. The staff was beyond friendly and greeted us with warmth and made us feel welcomed. The location is beautiful and is a destination worthy of praise. We were there for brunch and the food was sublime. We never felt rushed and we were able to fully enjoy our food. We were also able to tour the cathedral/event room. Very impressive. We will be back.

We visited for the first time after two years and the food was even better than before. I love the ambience here, and the portions are now larger, and the food was excellent. We went with a large party of six and ordered quite a good food, alcohol, appetizers, and in the end the tab was not more than $150 per person which was extremely reasonable. Keep up the good work.

Had lunch here for a private event.

Valet, $15, with ultra convenient right in front of the entryway

The atmosphere is inviting, yet sophisticated.
The building is a very much old Los Angeles building, so spaces are tight and there's a lot of stairs. However there is an elevator for those who are unable to climb up stairs.

On to the food. Our set menu consisted of
Beet salad
Hamachi crudo
Roasted chicken
King Salmon
Penne rigatoni
Assorted cookies

Both the chicken and salmon were top-notch. The chicken was moist and the vegetables were roasted perfectly. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Which is a rare treat.

Amazingly, the beets were fresh vs from a can (which is what I usually run into for beet salads)

The quality of the ingredients was good. And you can tell.

I am DEFINITELY returning for a meal.

This is an actual nice restaurant. I only drink gin martinis here, never tried the food but it looks rich. The seats are heavy and that is a huge comfort. The rooms are terraces so that's unique but you don't really feel like you're outside in that very particular LA way where you're often not sure. Indoor or outdoor? We don't know now. Love it

Celebrating 57 years of friendship with my childhood friend—my brother of the heart—and our spouses- found its perfect setting at Redbird, itself commemorating a decade of inspired hospitality this December. From the moment the front desk welcomed us with warmth and ease, the evening felt touched by something special. We began in the softly lit embrace of the Shea Lounge, where Beverage Director Tobin Shea greeted us with genuine charm. His thoughtful, bespoke recommendations became small symphonies in a glass—libations crafted with quiet artistry, shared in the comfort that only half a lifetime of friendship can hold. In the airy main dining room, our celebration deepened. Under the vision of Owner and Master Chef Neal Fraser, the restaurant—housed in a uniquely historical and beautifully restored venue—offered dishes that felt both contemporary and timeless. We started with the Everything Parker Roll, Shishito Peppers, and Pear Salad, each a delicate overture. Then came our main courses: the Whole Crispy Branzino, the transcendent John Dory, and the succulent Heritage Pork Chop—each plate a testament to a menu that evolves with the seasons yet remains unwavering in its craft and soul. A night of flavors, stories, and shared memory—an ode to a friendship 57 years strong, and to a restaurant that knows how to honor such moments with grace, warmth, and brilliance 🍷

Incredible team!

Met a college roommate from out of town for a special occasion at Redbird, and had a wonderful time. Ambience was lovely, service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding. The only detractor was that the restaurant was especially noisy (nothing which could be helped, given the architecture and lively crowd), which made conversation with my friend difficult. I would highly recommend Redbird for a fun evening with friends, but would think twice if catching every word is critical (e.g. business dinner). I will definitely return.

I mentioned while booking it is our anniversary the host welcomed us and wished us too. But when it comes down to the end of our brunch I asked for something sweet. The said we will get you something special we do that for everyone. May be everyone except us. We got nothing and we couldn’t order anything sweet as previously mentioned the waiter told me we will get something nice. What a disappointment!
