I am pleased to write this review for Surrah, our exceptional property manager, whose dedication and professionalism have significantly enhanced the quality of life in our building. Surrah brings a unique blend of efficiency, warmth, and care to her role, making her an invaluable part of our community.

One of the first things you notice about Surrah is her remarkable ability to handle every situation with poise and efficiency. She has an incredible knack for ensuring that service requests are addressed swiftly, often well ahead of expectations. Whether it’s a minor issue or a major concern, you can trust that she will take action immediately and follow through to ensure the problem is completely resolved. Her responsiveness and attention to detail are qualities that have made living here a seamless experience for all of us.

What truly sets Surrah apart, though, is the personal connection she fosters with residents. She’s not just a manager—she’s someone who genuinely cares about the well-being of everyone in the building. Surrah makes it a point to understand the unique needs and preferences of each resident, creating a sense of trust and reliability that goes far beyond the typical property manager role. Her kindness and empathy shine through in every interaction, whether she’s assisting with a repair or simply greeting you in the hallway. It’s clear that she’s not just doing a job, but actively contributing to the sense of community and belonging within the building.

Surrah’s personality is another one of her standout qualities. Her calm and welcoming demeanor instantly puts people at ease, making communication with her a pleasant and stress-free experience. She’s always approachable and available, and no issue ever seems too small or too big for her to handle with grace. Her friendly attitude, combined with her deep understanding of property management, ensures that residents feel both heard and valued.

Moreover, Surrah’s proactive approach is something I deeply admire. She doesn’t just wait for issues to arise—she takes preventative steps to keep the building running smoothly and efficiently. Her foresight in maintaining the property and anticipating potential challenges has been critical in keeping everything in top condition, often catching and addressing issues before they even become noticeable. This level of care and preparedness is a rare and greatly appreciated quality in property management.

In addition to her excellent work, Surrah brings a sense of cultural sensitivity and understanding that makes her interactions with residents feel all the more personal and meaningful. Her ability to balance professional responsibilities with a genuine care for those she serves speaks volumes about her character and dedication.

In conclusion, Surrah is an outstanding property manager who brings professionalism, kindness, and a deep commitment to her work and the residents she serves. Her efficiency in handling service requests, her caring and empathetic nature, and her friendly, approachable personality make her an invaluable part of our community. I highly recommend her for her exceptional service, and I’m grateful for the positive impact she continues to make on our living experience.

I have resided in this apartment for a year and am thoroughly pleased with my living situation. Angie, the building manager, is outstanding. She consistently ensures that all residents are well cared for and content. In matters of apartment living, much depends on the quality of management and the community. I would unequivocally rate the Pines with five stars based on my experience.

Four years at Lanewood Pines has given me a comprehensive view of its evolution. The journey began with varied experiences, but lately, there's been a noticeable uptick in quality. The completion of key construction projects, including the long-awaited pool renovation and new balcony doors, have added much-needed freshness to the property. These updates, along with enhanced overall maintenance, have really boosted the quality of life here. Angie Vergara's management style has been a key factor in this positive change. She's approachable and genuinely interested in residents' concerns, making a real effort to ensure everyone feels at home. Her dedication has greatly enhanced my overall living experience, making Lanewood Pines not only a good place to live but a continuously improving one.

I lived in this building for two years and can say it was one of the worse renting experiences I have had in L.A. First there was a meth head living in the complex that smoked outside my balcony and was caught vandalizing cars inside the garage. I thought once they got rid of him, that I would be able to enjoy living there. Shorty (2 months) after moving in they closed down the pool for renovations. Two years later when I moved out, it was still closed. Didn’t get to use it once. In addition to the building being old and poorly maintained and in need of renovations, it has plumbing and leaking problems everywhere. In the 2 years I lived there, the kitchen sink backed up and overflowed with grey sewage water more than 5 times. On one occasion covering the living room in 1-2 inches of grey sewage water. I threw away a rug and expensive pots/pans, utensils, and plates every time the water backed up. In addition, I had water coming in from the ceiling, bottom of the toilet, through the smoke detector in bedroom, and kitchen ceiling. Finally, I grew sick of the many plumbing and leaking issues and tried to ask that I be released from my lease. I spoke with Angie the assistant property manager and she assured me that I wouldn’t be forced to live somewhere I wasn’t happy. I never heard back and when I followed up and asked, she simply acted aloof and said she hadn’t heard back. Clarissa the property manager was never to be found. I think I saw her no more than 4 times the entire time I lived there, and she never responded to emails, even though she was CCd in every single one. This was a typical response (none) I received every time I emailed. They are never in the office and usually at the two nearby properties that are their more upscale properties. In addition to these issues, I had constant cockroach treatments, sometimes not needed but was told it was mandatory and if not, I would be charged $150. I had to take out everything from the cupboards on one occasion after just having shoulder surgery. This and the regular “inspections,” resulted in them having to enter the apartment on a regular basis. On one occasion they reglazed the apartment above and I came home to chemical fumes that not only made me dizzy, but my dog had to smell for hours prior to my arriving from work. This is the type of inconsideration I experienced over the 2 years. As expected, they kept 85% of my deposit for “cleaning fees.” I would advise anyone to avoid GoldrichKest property management. Finally, the street itself is always in chaos due to the In N Out line that makes it difficult to get in and out of the street. With plenty of honking and fighting to keep you up at night. Only made worse by the homeless people that continuously enter the property to use the laundry facility or sleep in the gym bathroom. I made a request to fix the gym door lock 2 years ago to prevent this and was assured it would be. As of my move out date 10/21 it was yet to be fixed. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere, this place isn’t getting better any time soon. It is nothing close to a “luxury” apartment, as advertised and priced.

Great building to call your home ! I lived here for 2 years ! Right in the heart of Hollywood! Major renovations have been done / or being finished up as we speak to the pool and the patio area ( took about a year ) however management provided access to their sister building, 2 blocks away to an amazing roof top pool with the best views of Hollywood to all the tenants of Lanewood pines if they desired ! Speaking about management, Angie , not only she is an amazing manager , she is also an amazing person , whom alway has a smile on her face , regardless of the situation! She will always be there for you , and take care of any issue that might arise !! Highly recommend. Lanewood pines

I've been living here for a couple of months and I'm actually very happy. The house is very nice. Clarissa and Angie (Angie comes from angel, no doubt, she's sooo great and sweet and helpful, all the time, always with a smile on her face!) helped me a lot with my application, when moving, with all the little problems I've had during these weeks as a foreigner and new in the city. When I was searching for a home, I looked dozens of apartments, I chose this and I think I'm no wrong. The building is not the newest in the zone, yes, but it's absolutely comfortable, nice, the residents are kind, we have no special loud noises. If you need something, the maintenance guys help you quickly. And it's near to stores, restaurants, shops, the neighbourhood is nice, you can go walking to a lot of places, it's very convenient. I hope I can stay here for some years :)

Don't live here. The entire building is infested with cockroaches and it is constantly under construction. 9 times out of 10 the elevator isn't working and you'll be woken up at 8am from jack hammering

The floorplan is perfect & I can’t wait to be using the pool in July/August!!I’ve met so many residents already & they’ve been so welcoming.Lanewood Pines is a perfect place to call home!

The pool is still closed, they are super mean they started the pool renovation on the spring that they could've done during the winter. We had nothing but noise and dust during the summer and it's still going. Asked the management and they told they keep renovating until the end of 2023 (yes 2023). They accept applications when the place is a construction zone for 3 years. There should be a law that says people who have lease shouldn't pay a rent for these periods at all. This place is not habitable.

Booked our trip in March 2021 through booking.com under the name ‘twice happy stays’ which changed a month later to ‘tranquil stays’. We arrived in the evening of 3rd Feb after a 13 hour transatlantic flight to the address given by this accommodation of 7027 lanewood avenue. We pressed the buzzer for the directory and we couldn’t get any further. We were 2 woman with 2 suitcases each standing in the middle of a Hollywood street in the dark! We contacted booking.com who made an attempt to contact the owner & there was no contact able to be made. We had to try and find alternative accommodation at 8pm at night - we had been travelling for 20 hours at this point!! Whilst on hold to booking.com - this accommodation claimed that we hadn’t turned up but in the same email said everyone booked had checked in already? Not sure how that is possible when we couldn’t get into our property lol!!! Someone in the apartment block stated to us that fraudulent renting had been going on and this may have been the case here. He was kind enough to allow us to stay in the lobby whilst we awaited booking.com coming back to us. Please avoid booking Tranquil stays or whatever else they change their name to next. If it’s on lanewood avenue or n. orange street then avoid! Ruined our holiday which cost us £3000 ($4000 roughly)!!!
