Wish I could review the actual experience. Instead I’ll review the ability to reach a human being to make a large group reservation. Zero stars. No one will answer. There’s a voicemail at Escape hotel where I left multiple messages only to never receive a call back. No phone number for Room 13 directly. Room 13’s website says to use Open Tablr to make a res and pushes you there to confirm something, but hey, Open Table shows zero days open or available for the rest of eternity. The listings of shows is outdated on the website.
This place may be cool if you go. It certainly looks like it is. Maybe if you show up at the door to get in. I don’t know and I never will since I couldn’t make a reservation / talk to an human and I certainly wasn’t going to drive 45 minutes one way just to get physically in front of someone face to face to talk to me.
So maybe it’s great. But their actual ability to manage inquiry’s or have a functioning managerial staff that checks voicemails and returns calls for groups that really want to come and experience it for a special occasion is nonexistent.
I purchased two $25 tickets to the grand illusion magic show last Friday evening (12/5). I received a "reminder" of our reservation on Thursday. When we arrived at the venue it was closed, doors locked and lights off. No one answered the phone. We spent 3 hours total in traffic driving from Long Beach to Hollywood and back and $25 in parking. We're out $75 for NOTHING. Why is Open Table selling tickets to an event that isn't happening??????? We're beyond furious
ON 12/04/25 AT 7PM WE HAD A RESERVATION FOR SINATRA NIGHT UNFORTUNATELY WE DID NOT EXPERINECED ANYTHING BECAUSE WHEN WE ARRIVED TO THE RESTAURANT THE DOOR WAS CLOSED AND WHEN WE TRY TO CALL THERESTAURANT NOBODY WAS ANSWERING THE PHONE. AFTER STANDING OUTSIDE FOR A WHILE WE LEFT TO DIFFERENT RESTAURANT HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND NOW I CAN'T GET BACK MY DEPOSIT $50 BECAUSE APPARENTLEY RESTAURANT CLOSED THE DOORS ON NOVEMBER 30TH BUT I RECEVED A CONFORMATION TEXT ABOUT MY RESERVATION ON 12/03/25. THIS IS RIDICILOUS DISREPECTFUL SCAMING SITUATION!! HOW COME OPEN TABLE WAS ABLE TO MAKE A RESERVATION, HAVING OPEN SPOTS WHEN RESTAURANT IS CLOSING 11/30/25, ALSO THEIR IG ACOUNT IS NOT ANNOUNCING ABOUT CLOSING!!
It's good place to see the entertainment and have some drinks but I would not recommend the food
We arrived at 8pm and was seated. It was our anniversary. All the other guests were greeted by a waiter. I had to grab the attention of one to order a cocktail. The hostess served it and then we weren't greeted once during the 1.5 hours we sat there. We eventually left at 9:30pm when the finale was happening starting. Had to go to another restaurant on a Saturday night to enjoy an anniversary dinner. My husband had to go to work after the show so he was then late for work as I was also in tears on an evening that went wrong at the Escape Room 13. The waiters walked by us a dozen times and never once stopped to ask if we needed anything. Very disappointed and want a refund! I called to talk to a manager and left my number for a call back and never heard from anyone.
My friend and I went for dinner show, on Sat, Nov 22, 6pm. We both had a great time, show was entertaining both singers had great voices. Food was good, my friend had the steak which was really good, I had the chicken, it waa good, but the pico de gallo on top of the rice was too much. Otherwise great fun experience!
The food and drinks were good. The service was a little slow but the entertainment was great! Doug Roegiers was spectacular. You can't go wrong with him.
What a wonderful time we had! Food was delicious as well as the drinks. I hope they fix their big cube refrigerator soon! The service and the show were so much fun and the singers so talented! Really fun staff and ambiance. Perfect to celebrate a birthday!
This was my first time going to Room Number 13 at the Escape Hotel. The ambiance was perfect, excellent service, overall great experience.
I was there last weekend to celebrate my birthday with my bf and 2 friends. Well, to start with, they had us wait a while before sitting us because they told us they were running late, the show also started 45 min after the stated time on the ticket. The waiter was professional and friendly I’ll give him that, but it took forever to get our drinks and I ordered a side of fries and they never arrived. I honestly think they forgot, it got to the point where I just told the waiter to cancel them. It took forever for any server to come check if we needed anything. The show was mid not what I expected and the female performers went around to pass tequila shots and they skipped our table which was the last table. Like how are you going to pass shots to literally every table and skip one? We all thought that was rude! I was sitting closest to the balcony and the staff downstairs were being loud and doing their own thing, I understand people are coming in for the Escape room. But I could see the staff was messing around, one them was walking on top of the couches. I dk what she was doing but they need to be more mindful when the show is happening as that was very distracting for me. Overall not a good experience, very disappointing.

This is more like a dinner with live music. It's not a show how it's advertised. There's live music but no where to dance.
Was there foe Havana Night. Perfect date night atmosphere. The food was great and the service excellent. We are definitely going to return for another night with a different theme. I was also great to see the customers dress the recommended attire.
It was really bad. The server could not have cared less about his job, or the fact there was no food we wanted to eat available during our show time or that we saw him max 3 times during our experience. They didn't have fish, chicken or steak. HOWEVER, the server did let us know there would be steak available at the 9pm showing. Uh...ok. Not sure why he felt he needed to tell us that, but here we are. They had the burger and the pasta dishes available only. I got the Cajun pasta, my husband the ravioli and the rest of the party got the burger. The pastas were just bad. How do you mess up pasta? Burger was bland. Way too expensive for unseasoned food. I guess the chef cared just as much as the server. I think the show was good, but unfortunately where they had us that we couldn't see. We were a party of six and sat at the corner circular loser table apparently. The actors came around with shots, but by the time they got to our table, they were out. I don't know how that could happen when it's a reservation situation and they know how many people are there. An unorganized mess. If I could go back in time, I would not go here. What a waste of money and life. The one drink I was able to order was very good. I got the espresso martini and the bartender did a good job. Too bad our server disappeared until the very end when he brought the check. Maybe he was a ghost the whole time. Who knows? He probably didn't care because they automatically tack on a 20% gratuity so he knew he was gonna get his money. On paper, this seems like it would be really cool experience, but do yourself a favor and skip it. Just do the escape rooms downstairs. The rooms are always really fun and the service from the escape room people is always top-tier. For a fun time, I suggest you do an escape room and then eat anywhere else.
My partner and I went to Room Number 13 in Hollywood for the magic show on October 3rd, and it was incredible! The 1920s vibe, dim lighting, and Frank Sinatra playing in the background made it feel both romantic and a little spooky.
I had the Lychee Express and Shrimp Scampi, while my partner ordered the Old Fashioned and Burger — everything was delicious and beautifully made. The staff are amazing performers and really bring the whole experience to life.
We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back to try the Hide and Seek Special next!

We attended “Havana Nocturna.” We enjoyed the musical trio. Our server Isaiah was great. The food was fine, but a little pricey. We were disappointed because the show was promoted as a night in ‘40s-‘50s Havana, with a picture of musicians in vintage clothes, and guests were invited to dress in fedoras and evening wear; but there was no such ambience. The band dressed in contemporary clothes, and nothing was done by the establishment to make the evening feel like “A night in Havana.” We would have done better to go to a regular Cuban restaurant that featured a band. The staff at the venue was very friendly but the promotion did not accurately represent the actual event itself.
