They auto gratuity checks without telling you and then take the original check so you don't see it. Shady. Janet hit me today. Shouldn't be legal

So, I come to the airport and see a restaurant right next to my gate. I see the bar tender busy, so I seat and wait for him to notice me. Took at least 10 mints for him to come to me. He finally comes and I asked about food. He tells me there is no food. I asked for a menu to inquire about drinks. He gives me a menu and leaves. When I check the menu, there’s food on it so I go to him and asked if he meant there was food or no food ( I had my AirPods on with no music) and he gave me attitude and said: “NO FOOD”. I go back to seating and check the menu. He comes back to me and asks me with an attitude if I’m gonna order. I look at him and I told him he didn’t have to be rude and that no, I was not gonna order ( I made the decision after his nasty attitude). I asked him for his name and he instead of giving it to me asks if I’m ordering something. I said no, but wanted to know his name. He tells me to leave and refuses to give me his name. At this point he’s already being loud for no reason since I was, even though I was being mistreated, polite. Then I went online and saw 2.3 stars and realized he is probably the reason why the place is rated so badly. Since he refused to give me his name, he is the bald black man at the bar. Working on Sunday November 24 at 9:40pm.

service was good, prices are out of control - worst part is that they double charged my credit card - in reading other reviews, this doesn't seem like an isoloated accident

Music is terrible(1980’s dentist office vibes) and drinks are ridiculously expensive. Would not recommend ever…
An airport bar is an airport bar but this one is special thanks to the amazing server Caryn who spread nothing but sunshine and positivity to all us patrons while doing a tough job.

Well if they didn’t racially profile me, probably would’ve been 4 stars all around. Had a good experience, asked for the check - there was a pre check already kept on my seat with pre-added 20% tip. Looking around, only tables with Asians, brown, black folks had that pre check - 3 white people came after me, and nothing added to their check. I had a great time and was there officially, would’ve tipped 25-30%, but this is atrocious.
Crazier, bartenders were black.

So apparently we are tipping at 18% included in total, so pay attention to your bill. Unless you want to tip your server upwards of that amount. I always leave a good tip, even for mediocre service, but I think you should be made aware of a mandatory tip percentage. ( not small print on the bill) The bartender literally made about 30$ on a 66$ tab.

Stopped for a quick drink on a short layover. Ordered a drink and it was nice. Paid my $20.40. Was charged the $20.40 and an additional $274.50 on a 2nd transaction. Clearly some shady Bartenders. Never stop here. They are thieves.
RIP OFF. Even for an airport restaurant. The ravioli had exactly 10 pieces for $25.1 old fashioned, 1 glass of wine, 1 pasta. $75. With tax and included tip.

An outrageous experience. The bar at LAX automatically adds an 18%tip “for my convenience”, and I pay tax on the tip! Zero stars, but two for the friendly bartender. Last drink purchase for me at LAX.
