I came back here after loving it a few years ago and was really disappointed in my experience. All of the hearty vegetarian items have been stripped from the menu and they were unwilling to make easy modifications to make items vegetarian. I ended up cobbling together a few grill items that arrived over the course of 45 minutes and were expensive and not filling. I expect better options in a place in LA. My friends who eat meat ordered the mazesoba and were disappointed that the dish did not have the raw egg traditionally in the dish or any flavor.
Our service was horrible. I had to flag down the waiter multiple times until he paid enough attention to us to order. He proceeded to ignore us the entire meal unless he was dropping off a dish. We never got water refills or were checked in on. We had to flag down another waitress to pay the check because he avoided eye contact with us.
Rating two stars because the people who ate meats said the skewers were good, but it’s not worth coming back here. It’s a shame because this place used to be amazing :(.

Delicious and great menu options. Decent sized menu with specials. Everything tasted great, just one of the yakitori pieces I got seemed a bit over seasoned (salty) for my liking, but I like less saltier foods. Prices seem fair with the portions and service was more than exceptional.
I’ll be back to try their ramen :)

Creamy tonkotsu ramen is so delicious! I ordered kimuchi for the appetizer and it was also really good. One of the best tonkotsu ramens in LA.

My group focused on yakitori and ordered from both the special and standard menu. All the food we got was pretty decent but not filling. We ended up hitting different place since none of us wanted ramen and ordering more yakitori would be too pricey to fill our stomachs.
Staff was really nice and even suggested a sauce to go with our yakitori.
For a moment I felt like I was in Tokyo wandering the streets at night and eating at a random place I just accidentally found. It may not be the most sophisticated spot but it feels real and honest...and that I love more than anything.

This place is trying to be an izakaya type of restaurant. The staff was doing its best and there is nothing to complain about them. It is just the concept of the restaurant really needs work. The food is also not good. It is not very tasty and too greasy. You would really need a large party and consume large amounts of alcohol to enjoy it there. They should have more noodle types of dish to make a full meal. I was very disapointed about my meal there and will not go back.
